Bestop 51509-01 Front Pair of Floor Mats for Jeep Wrangler 1997-2006,Regular

I've had a lot of Wranglers since the first one I bought new in 1977 - a dozen or so. Bestop has been around a long time and I cannot recall ever being disappointed with anything they made. These are very heavy duty plastic, they look great, they are a perfect molded fit, and they are just the thing for our 2004 Wrangler that gets muddy and messy on the Farm on a daily basis. I may buy a set for my newer Wrangler that rarely sees any mud but does see snow ... they really do look nice in the Jeep, and the way they are molded up all around like a bucket, a nasty boot will never touch carpet.Just to mention it in case someone else gets confused when they get these ...This product worried me when I opened the box. It had rather complicated looking instructions that I didn't expect and some plastic pieces that looked like the retaining tabs on the floor of the Jeep that hold floor mats in place and they talk about using a template and an exacto knife. I already threw that all away which I regret as I write this review as I'd like to be better able to explain what that was supposed to be all about. I suppose they simply went the extra mile to provide mounting tabs for someone who might be using aftermarket carpet without mounting tabs or something like that. As I indicated, you simply pop these in like floor mats using the factory tabs ... no cutting, drilling, grinding, welding, painting ... LOL.

These mats are nice and thick, and they fit well into the tub. Mud dries out in the mats and is easy to remove. The heel of my shoe sticks in the grooves sometimes, but overall these are great.

We were a little hesitant to purchase because of one review statine that the rubber was too thick and his/her feet would get stuck. We went ahead and purchased being hopeful that we wouldn't have an issue. We LOVE them. They fit our 1998 Jeep Wrangler perfectly. They do not slip around and protect the carpet in all the right places. The cupping around the edges will help any loose debris and help to get it from dumping on your carpet when you pull them out. They are well made, simple and look great. We went ahead and bought the whole set for the back and also for the rear cargo area. All of them fit perfectly. They are a little pricey but from other products we reviewed and compared to, they seem to be the best product. We are pleased with all of them and would highly recommend and purchase again.

very good floor mats at a great price

I've had so many different floor mats over the years that have always had problems staying in place or wearing out quickly, these Bestop matts are the first I've owned that don't have those problems. They stay in place very well and look really nice and function very well. They provide a nice surface that my feet don't slip on and I like the channels so that there are not really any puddles of water when the snow on my shoes melts. I don't have to worry about liquid or other spills and I can just take them out and spray them down. I'm very impressed and would definitely recommend them to other Jeep owners.

Fit exactly as they should in 03 Wrangler. I agree with others that they are on the pricy side. Having a yellow and black jeep though these really look nice in there. Came with cheapo universal ones from the PO. One of those started to fall apart. Decided to try these. Have used Husky Liners in the past. These Bestop ones are a little more rubber feeling than those. Only downside I've seen so far is that the left one hovers (don't have it hooked down) when on the interstate doorless. Don't think it will fly out but it makes you have concern it might.
