Sturdier than I expected
My son loves these. Nothing has broken in the meantime. Good value.

Very Cheap! Broken pieces and etc. after a couple of days
I guess you get what you pay for...except I thought these would last at least a couple of months. The plastic used for these instruments is the kind you will find at the dollar store or on very cheaply made products from China. I got these for my 18 month old and 3 year old. Granted they are boys and I didn't carefully watch them when they played with these...1) They dropped them onto the kitchen tile floor and one of them stepped on one of the instruments...the plastic parts broke on all three instruments. The other con is that for a young toddler it takes a lot of coordination at least for my boys to be able to hold down the keys and blow at the same time...they don't produce a sound without holding onto at least one key. I regret wasting any money on these. In the future I will pay more money for something that will hopefully hold up for more than a couple of days.

Work well, but don't last long
I bought these for my 2 year old son who's obsessed with musical instruments lately. They are really cute and are "realistic" in the sense that you have to blow into them and press the buttons at the same time just like the real instruments to get them to play, but the quality is pretty low. They are made from fairly low quality plastic and all three were broken within a weeks span

Horrible Quality. Little alternative
The plastic on these is the cheapest, most brittle variety. It is black plastic with a thin silver layer on top that flakes off. If you drop any of these from a child's arm height -- (18"?) -- they will chip and break. The saxophone did not work on arrival because the piece with the keys wasn't glued on right / the piece was too warped to make a proper air seal. I strapped it down and liberally applied the Elmer's glue, and it 'works'. But, it is very flimsy. The trumpet lost one of its spring-loaded keys on day 1.The clarinet did actually drop from my daughter's hand to the floor, and now has a jagged end.My husbands thought: "These were only like a dollar or two a piece, right?" That's about what they are worth. It is a shame because with just slightly better materials, these could have been great little toys.

Look cheap, but certainly FUN!!
Our 3.5 year old has been saying he wants " all the instruments" for the past year. Thank you Little Einsteins!! We looked all over for instruments for him for quite awhile. Everything we found was more electronic, as when the kid pushes a button a song or time would play. This set of 3 instruments made his Christmas! He and his 1.5 year old sister are in LOVE!! As a parent, I will admit, I look at the cheap plastic and question why I spent $35 on these with hot glue showing along the seam.. HOWEVER, the sounds these instruments produce are soo tolerable (even indoors!!) compared to other annoying toys. Our son can't actually play a song as he doesn't have the coordination to do so yet, but he enjoys blowing into them and pushing buttons because each one actually makes a sound/note. The mouthpiece and a button have popped off the clatinet here and there already in the first month, but they easily snap back on. He puts them up on a shelf when he's finished with them because they look as if they would probably break into a zillion pieces if stepped on. So, while this set looks pretty cheap for the money I spent, I would buy it again in a heartbeat for the entertainment it's providing my children while not destroying our eardrums!

good musical toys
These little toy instruments look real and are fun and easy for kids to play. My toddlers love them and they are not too loud, which is refreshing. The only draw back is that the plastic is a bit thin/frail. We have hardwood floors and one too many drops or throws by young ones and the plastic will crack or break so they might not hold up as long as you might like if your kids are on the younger side. But they are not super expensive, so I think that might just come with the price tag.

Will be a big hit christmas day!
So this year for christmas my 3 years old brother told me he wanted a big green box for christmas. One weeks later it changed to a black trumpet? Odd request I know. I looked everywhere for a black trumpet but I could not find one anywhere so I bought this set instead. I received it yesterday and he is going to flip out on christmas. I love how realistic it is. Although it does not feel realistic because it is plastic, the fact that each button makes a different sound is amazing. The packaging it comes in even teaches you how to play some songs. He is going to love it because he loves singing and instruments. I would recommend this to anyone even to children a little older than 3.

Very cheap
This was a total waste of money. I got these for my 5 year old who LOVES musical instruments. I read some reviews on this before I purchased them and they said these are "almost the real thing" but when the arrived I was very disappointed. One of them was already cracked, and they barely make a toot. Very over priced for the quality. Needless to say, my son was very sad that his instruments didn't work.
