Gardner Bender GSW-69 Electrical Rotary Switch, SPST, ON-OFF, 6 A/125V AC, 6 inch Wire Terminal, Black Plastic

I used this switch to turn on a luminaire and or neon lamp. I found the install to be very easy, and the wires are pre-stripped and and pretty long. Fun fact, first turn activate the red wire, second turn activates the blue wire, third turn activates both, and the fourth is off. The feel is a little light, not much heft to it. I was a little afraid it would break with normal use, to be honest. But it is holding up well - I use it daily since 23ʳᵈ of October.Should anything change, I will update this review.

Ordered this because it looked visually identical to the switch it had to replace, even including the color coding of the 3 electrical cables. Needed it for a pretty old brass gooseneck table lamp. This went in easily exactly where the original had been, although without the lockdown nut, which did not seem to be needed. Wiring was easy, and it fit fine. Very satisfying to bring that lamp back to life!Minus one star, because the switch positions feel "soft" and it sometimes feels like you have to turn through an extra detent just to get to the next setting. The button does not sit firmly like the original but that one was very old so who knows.In use a couple of months now, if we get a year or two out of it that would be better than nothing as it kept this useful lamp alive with little effort.

It's hard to tell from the product photos, but there's a thin jam nut to go behind the panel of whatever you're mounting the switch to in addition to the brass nut on the outside, so the depth can be set correctly for a variety of material thicknesses and there isn't a big clear plastic threaded portion visible. The end result looks great.

I have a set of Halogen work lights (from that seaside store) and the push switch went out on one of the lights. I got this as a replacement and it is working great. it is small enough to fit in the little electrical box, and I like the "Rotate On" much better than the "Push On" like the originals came with.

This is the 3rd switch I have installed in the past year. This one is only about a month old and is already malfunctioning! The other 2 lasted a few months at most before they quit working. Do yourself a favor and buy a different brand that is made to last more than a few months. This brand is junk!

This switch works OK, but is mostly plastic so may not last long. The switch stem is fairly short and may not be long enough to thead the nut on in some cases. If your application needs a long stem to work, this one is not for you. On the other hand, it's inexpensive, and if it lasts is worth the money.

Kind of an odd switch, as you sometimes have to push down on the know to get it to work.BUT, it seems to be unavailable locally, so thank goodness for Amazon.Be sure to take a picture of the old switch before you take it apart, as these are kind of tricky to get right. My lights went on 2 bulb, 1 bulb, then 1 bulb before I fixed it because my lamp had all white wires.

I had to drill another hole in order for this to fit in a one and a half inch tube. It's a little taller then I thought it would be, but it's pretty stout and it fixed the lamp. I just covered though hole created with a bent curved washer. Looks pretty good actually.

Included collar but is a bit cheap, use a better one if you can. Otherwise great build and mechanism feel and actuation force is very nice.Brass is pretty. Not too shinyBought to replace the worn out switch on a 25+ year old desk lamp.

It replaced an identical switch that I installed 10 years ago for my range hood lights (2). The only negative is the plastic instead of metal sleeve for the attaching nut. It broke on the old one, and will likely do so on this eventually.

This switch was hard to find here in my area, but Amazon was able to help me out where others failed. I can now rewire my lamp and use it again. Great price and super fast delivery!! Just what I needed.
