Never thought this niche product could be a need for espresso machine but is now invaluable!!

Brilliantly designed piece of kit! I have been whacking my portafilter against the edge of the garbage to get the coffee out and the filter basket always flies out. No more! This knock out box is like the pros use but sits beautifully on the counter. It's very sturdy (it's meant to beat on after all) and has a non-slip base which also cushions a bit of the blow. The bar is rubberised and very sturdy. I suspect this thing will last many years. Definitely recommend!

I was looking to upgrade my cheap knock out box. The one I had before started falling apart,This is sturdy, goes in the dishwasher, can hold about 10 pucks, is very compact, and does not slide around due to the rubber grip at the bottom.You bang the portafilter directly on the rubber part, so the puck will break into two (most of the time).It works as expected, nice and firm but also wouldn't damage my expensive portafilter or basket.I imagine it will last for many, many years.

Small and compact, easy to clean, looks good on the counter. Feels solid and durable with a non-slip base.I've had zero spills or any grounds falling outside - it's easily large enough for my 54mm portafilter. Some users might not realise that the area striking the bar is the portafilter basket, not the handle - it's a center-bar design after all. Doing it wrong will result in grounds going everywhere out the back. The dimensions of the box should make that obvious. That may restrict very firm/hardened dry pucks that don't break apart easily, but I've never had that issue.

Have owned a Rancilio Silvia for a few months now and have just been knocking the grinds onto a plastic plate, not ideal really. Only had this delivered yesterday but have used it several times already. Will echo what others have already said: it is quite small and can only take 4 maybe 5 double baskets worth before maxing out. But I bought it purposefully because of its size, and it fits in well with the space and sits alongside my machine nicely. A well made sturdy product that I can definitely recommend to others.

After one year of twice daily usage, I can say this little knock box is worth every penny.Looks exactly the same as new. The rubber coating of the bar makes the knocking process not very loud and does not slip on the counter.To clean just soapy water and no metal parts so doesn't rust.If you're looking for a knock box, you can stop looking now.
