📷 Capture the Past, Preserve the Future!
The ITNS-500 is a versatile film and negative scanner that converts 35mm film negatives, slides, and photos into high-quality JPEG images. With a 5-megapixel image sensor and a user-friendly front loading tray, it simplifies the archiving process for various collectibles, including business cards and stamps. While it is compatible with Windows 7 and earlier, it does not support MAC or Windows OS beyond Windows 7.

That being said it worked like a charm
After reading some of the negative reviews I was a little reluctant to purchase this item. However, I had a request from a friend to transfer slides to DVD and I didn't want to invest too much money in something I don't get many requests for. I mainly do video transfers. But I thought why not? First off I use Windows XP for all transfers to computer and then use Windows 10 for the render and finalization. So I haven't tried using this for any other operating system except Windows XP. That being said it worked like a charm. The only thing you must keep in mind as I found out the hard way, don't rush the job on slides. I did and the device didn't capture a single one of my 185 slides. I was moving the manual slider too quickly before the device could save the image to the computer hard drive. So I started over and spent at least another hour of my time capturing the 185 slides I needed to do the job. Other than that this thing works splendidly for a $32 device. Remember, there is no viewer on the device itself. If you want a viewer then spend upwards of $60 to maybe $150 for a top notch device. But if you're like me, someone who only gets a request occasionally for slide production then go with this machine. You won't be disappointed.

ALTERNATIVE FOR COPYING PHOTOS
I like the three types of uses for copying my pictures from slides, film negatives, and 4 x 6 photographs. The quality of the pictures is not very sharp or as bight as I would like so I have to retouch the copies myself using a photo app which was available in the internet. It is faster to use this technique for copying photographs I would like to keep and show from a flash drive on a TV or smartphone or tablet. If I want a better quality photograph I use my printer scanner and enhance the photos for better details and color. I have also used a handheld portable scanner but the quality is not sharp or detailed somewhat like the Innovative copier. I gave it three stars because it is a good alternative for copying photographs to your computer; however, the sharpness and brightness of the copies is missing.

Does not work on Windows 10.
It does exactly what I wanted when it comes to scanning the film. So, why is it it's four stars?Well, it does NOT work on Windows 10. It does not recognize the device and there doesn't seem to be any way to get any drivers installed. However, I pulled up a virtual machine of Vista and it works perfectly. So, if you have Windows 10 but know how to do that (or already have an older Windows. I think I saw that it works up to Windows 7), then it's a very solid film scanner for cheap.

Buyer Beware When it Comes to Operating System Compatibility.
Be aware that ITNS apparently is dumping its older units onto the market.. I have to admit that the item description includes an operating systems compatibility statement -- won't work beyond WIN 7. However, I do have an ITNS-500 that I bought awhile back that works just fine on my WIN 10 system. I invested $30 in another one because I lost some of the accessories. My PC will not recognize the one I just received, but the first one I bought still works fine. Shame on this company for not developing newer software to keep their product compatible with newer operating systems.

I have hundreds of old 35mm slides that sending to commercial places to digitize is very expensive - using this machine in short order I paid for its cost - very fast to load and use - saves the digital version directly to a directory on my computer for later editing

Another Chinese piece of junk.
Innovative ITNS-500 Technology The Ultimate Film and Negative ScannerI am returning this item. 1. The software is confusing and incomplete. 2. The scanning process produces a very grainy and, consequently, unsatisfactory image. 3. The process for storing and then retrieving the image is extremely confusing. I was never able to scan and store a satisfactory image.

It's "okay"
This scanner is easy to set-up and easy to use. However, I have not been impressed with the sharpness of the slides I have scanned so far. Perhaps alittle more tweeking of the settings may improve that problem, but so far nothing has helped. So, I will rate this item as "okay" because of that....

Great picture quality for the price
This isn't professional grade but still produces good pictures. Got it to make a collage and it worked great. Also used it to make pictures from slides for a memorial board.
