GRS 12PF-8 12" Paper Cone Foam Surround Woofer

Bought a new Pioneer A/V receiver at 100W. When testing out the receiver's power I actually burned the 12 inch woofers in my 2000 Radio Shack Optimus 3 way speakers (rated at 100W PEAK as it turned out.) Bad smell and rattling coming from the woofers. Ordered these for about 20$ each including shipping. After careful instillation the Optimus' are back and sound better, louder and slightly more punch, with the new stronger woofers. Listening test between the Polk T50s and the Optimus' has the Optimus slightly ahead due to the 3 way VS the 2 way of the Polks. Music sounds fuller from the Optimus, only slightly. Still going to keep the T50s. The T50s are a good light weight set of floor speakers. The two passive radiators can really push some air but I don't know how much they add to the bass due to the excellent 6 1/2 inch drivers. The T50s took all the power from the Pioneer and cranked for 15 mins with no problems (couldn't run for longer due to potential hearing damage. :) Listened to the Pioneer SP-FS52 speakers at Best Buy and they had no bass output as far as I could tell. Passed on those. Overall very satisfied with my purchase of these replacements. They saved my old speaker cabinets for cheap. Now I'll have to keep an eye on the reliability of the but the build of the new woofers felt solid and of good quality. (No max power tests yet.) Only time will tell.

As discribed and a very good value! Not amazing subs or speakers, but for the money these are very very good. I bought 4 for a diy Bluetooth party speaker. Running them on a small 110 watt amplifier, and they sound really really good!

As soon as I picked up the package/box.. I knew it was not a good buy. Anybody that knows.. a good speaker is going to have a heavy magnet. So, you can almost guarantee a light weighing speaker is not going to sound good. I've bought better speakers at a lower price at my local flea market.

These were replacements for a 1966 Fisher console. The originals were cracked and the voice coils were rubbing..these fit perfectly,and they sound better than the originals, but I attribute that to the fact the new ones are probably engineered better than 50 year old speakers.

I have an old pair of Kenwood KL-660 4-way bookshelf speakers that I purchased back in 1970. They've been in continuous use in my home audio system. Weak point in this type of speaker is the foam surround in the woofer eventually dries out and crumbles, leaving no support on the outside edge of the speaker cone and loss of air pressure in the cabinet. This is the second time I replaced the woofer in this speaker in 50 years. For some reason the woofer in the other speaker in the pair never had this issue. Go figure!. Anyway, the replacements are working fine, and once again, no buzzing.

Bought these to replace 25+year old, disintegrating Pioneer tower speakers. Easy to install and sound as good or better than original!! Awesome value for the money!
