It’s RAM. It works.
My Lenovo Yoga 700 has one DDR3 SODIMM slot, and it was previously fitted with 8GB of memory. 8GB wasn’t enough and the system constantly ran out of memory and had to start using the page file, so I bought this stick of memory and my performance had greatly improved. If you’re looking for 16GB of memory and your system has 2 slots for memory then go with a 8GBx2 pack, this will save a lot of money (as 16GB is the max amount of memory you can have in a DDR3 stick so prices are much higher for this item vs. buying two 8GB sticks), and you can take advantage of dual channel memory. Haven’t had any issues with it, it’s RAM, it works.

100% Compatible with THINKPAD YOGA 14 20FY0002US
Installed into my THINKPAD YOGA 14 20FY0002US and no issues at all.Installed it into the one RAM slot this laptop has and rebooted. It did the new POST all by it's self with out me having to do anything and then booted back into windows automatically. System can read all 16GB of ram, it says 15.9GB usable, as I think the system uses some for the intel graphics even though this particular model has a 2GB NVIDIA card. Photoshop reads all of the ram and automatically increased the amount of RAM it could use, and large projects are much easier to work on now. Would purchase again!

Good for HP EliteBook 810 G3
I was checking the compatibility of this memory RAM in Amazon and it was not able to identify if it was compatible or not with my HP EliteBook Revolve 810 G3. I went to the HP website and reached out to their support, they told the laptop-tablet couldn't support more than 12 GB of RAM in total.... Yeah right!!!! Lol. I was not convinced by their explanations (I studied electronic engineering) and bought this RAM to upgrade the laptop from 4 GB to 20 GB and voila, it works as expected and Windows 10 x64 detects the 20 GB of RAM in total, see screenshots. So my recommendation is, don't always trust support, they do recommendations based on what they have and HP doesn't have 16 GB of RAM for sell in their website at this moment when I am writing this review.

Good upgrade to my Dell Inspiron 7353
I have a Dell Inspiron 13 7000 model 7353 with the 6th generation Intel i7 chip. I read several reviews/answers here stating that this memory would work in this system, so I took the chance and bought it. The install was very easy and when I turned the laptop back on, the memory was recognized and I had no problems. The next day, I noticed that my speakers were not working and the headphone/microphone jack did not put out sound, either. I tried several methods to find out what went wrong and only solved the issue by going to Dell's website and updating the BIOS. I had done the automatic BIOS update a few days earlier, so I am not sure what the difference is, but the sound is back to normal through the speakers and headphones. All this to say I am very pleased with the memory and I am not an expert, so I have no idea what the issue with the sound actually was. The reason I performed the upgrade was just to provide more capacity and speed when working with multiple applications.

Bios doesn't recognize it for certain dell 7348 laptops
The Inspirion 13 7348 laptop bios will not recognize it. It won't boot into the bios to see if it recognizes it nor boot up into windows other than show the computer logo. There are other amazon postings that say this works for the Dell 7348 laptop. However, it depends on the Intel processor generation. Dells forum says some users can get it to work on I5 and above. I have an I3 and it doesn't work, and it probably will not work for I4 generation either

It works great and I am totally overjoyed
I purchased this memory for my Lenovo Yoga 700. The specs say it can only take an 8 Gig SODIMM, but that was the max available at the time the laptop was manufactured, so Lenovo was not able to certify the larger DIMM's that have now come out. It works great and I am totally overjoyed. That goes for many of the other laptops, don't worry too much about what the manufacturers specs say, these 16Gig chips are too new for them to certify on machines that are already out. But if you have a 5th or 6th generation Core processor, there is a good chance it will work. Earlier processors, probably not. Crucial will not say it will work because they only go by the old manufacturers specs at the time the machine was manufactured. They don't want to take the liability that the DIMM will not work in your machine, which is reasonable.

Great supplier of older DDR3L memory
There is still lots of life in computers that use DDR3 and DDR3L but try to find that memory at your computer supplier. I placed my order and rapidly received 32G of good quality Crucial DDL3L memory - it was delivered so quickly, I ordered another 32G for one of my older Intel NUC systems. Is this memory aimed at high end gamer systems - nope. But to keep perfectly good older machine out of landfill - these are great!

reported and benchmarked fine with a single 16gb ram module installed in the ...
Mfg specs for my Dell Inspiron 3000 3543 say 8gb maximum can be installed on this laptop. I purchased this 16gb module on the off chance the i5-5200u 5th generation cpu had not been tested with a 16gb module at time of product release for sale to the public.. I won a fairly hefty gamble as my laptop accepted, reported and benchmarked fine with a single 16gb ram module installed in the one memory slot provided. No error msgs, no BSODs, no freezes, nothing out of the ordinary. The only drawback is the memory is operating in single channel mode. But considering I now have 16gigs instead of 8gigs, I can't really complain. So if you have a system with one mem slot and a 5th generation or higher cpu with the most current BIOS installed, you may or may not consider taking the same chance I did. Just remember the manufacturer states ONLY 8 gigs of ram can be installed. I do not condone or recommend doing as I did. I am just sharing my experience. MOUNTAIN TOP!!!!
