CHECK VALVE New In tank for air compressor 3/4" FPT x 3/4" MPT

Q: What is the cfm rating? not psi or temperature please.

Mine is working good on 22 cfm # 100 PSI. do not know at what tem.

Q: Why do i need a check valve, what dose ot do ?

A check valve allows the gas or air to flow in only one direction. On a compressor, it permits the produced compressed air to flow into the reservoir tank and when it reaches its set pressure and shuts the compressor off, that air in the tank does not back-flow into the compressor. This permits the compressor to restart virtually with no resistence or difficulty due to unwanted pressure making start up difficult. Hope this helps.

Q: can this be used horizontally

I used it vertically so I don’t know.
