No but you can dim the lighting by pressing button on the side.

Q: Can this clock run without being plugged in?? The battery won't work.

The digital alarm clock needs to be connected to a USB power supply to display. A separate battery can only save the alarm clock data, and the display does not light up.

The digital alarm clock uses DC-5V/1A power supply. You can purchase a power adapter directly from Amazon.

The clock goes into a dim mode during the day and you might think it's off , you can fix that by pushing the buttons on the side to have it on bright
