Does what I need
I bought this to replace a previous hand crank torch which died after several years use. I use a torch frequently and this type saves a lot of money on batteries and avoids the hassle of having to remember to recharge batteries. It is a little awkward to crank, more so than my previous torch, as you can catch the crank or your fingers against the casing or your other hand.It is lightweight and compact. I have only given 4 stars for durability as I have not had it long enough to properly judge this. To me, it is excellent value. The light is bright, much brighter than my previous torch, particularly after charging it up, although it fades a little quite quickly. I find it gives a useable amount of light, enough to read a label or find your way through a dark area, for quite a while and can be cranked back up to full charge quickly. The one I received does not have any capability to power a mobile phone, something I would never use anyway. It does have a small panel which uses light to boost the charge. This doesn't do a great deal unless you leave it on a windowsill all day (and the sun is shining!) but using it is optional anyway. The clip is a little awkward to open wide enough to clip the torch to anything convenient but could be useful. If I needed to clip it to a belt or jacket I would use a seperate carabinier. All in all, I am very happy with this torch and woud buy another.

I haven't got anything bad to say about this flashlight
There is so many reasons why you would want to own one of these emergency flashlights. You could use this Simpeak LED flashlight around the house during power-cuts, use it when you're out camping. or even keep it as a backup torch in your vehicle in case you break down. This is just a few reasons off the top of my head but I'm sure there is lots more. The torch arrives in a plain cardboard box with some instructions inside. It feels sturdy and I think it could handle life on the field. It charges directly from the sun but you can also use the Dynamo crank to recharge it when you're left in the dark. The LEDs are not the brightest in the world but they are bright enough to get the job done. If they were any brighter then the torch wouldn't last long between charges and nobody want to spend all day cranking their flashlight. The carabiner is a nice touch, It means I can attach it safely to the outside of my backpack or waistbelt for quick and easy access.

This is amazing value for money
This torch is amazing. It's great for camping, in your boot, or in a household power cut. Very lightweight, really bright, extremely sturdy and can be charged by winding or through its solar panel. One of the best things I've bought this year. I'm going to buy some more as gifts. I'd 100 percent recommend.

Wonderful compact torch
Nice and compact. No need to buy batteries or worry whether batteries are leaking. I leave it on a sunny windowsill most of the time with its solar panel uppermost. As advised in the instructions I turn the crank charging handle 60 turns once a month. I do not need to use a torch most of the time, but this one comes in useful for reading gas and electricity meters. Bought on 16 Mar 2018 and still going strong as at 20 Jul 2022.

Keeps its charge
A handy-sized torch - not too heavy and easy to charge up by winding the handle which has its own hole to rest in. Although sunlight can charge the torch with its small sonar panel, it keeps its charge very well by a full wind-up.
