Augustinus Bader The Hair Oil

This is so easy to use and for an unknown reason, a piece of hair would be everywhere and after using it one time, my hair loss stopped. It has no smell and easy to use and at a reasonable price.

Great to use in the morning for shine and to range the frizz.

The Augustinus Bader hair oil is fantastic! It tames my frizzy hair and leaves the curls soft with just the right amount of shine. It may seem expensive, but a little goes a long way. When the oil first comes out of its dropper it has a slight scent, but when it dries that scent goes away completely. I’ve tried other oils in the past, but they’ve all either been too heavy and oily, and/or had a fragrance. I’m happy to have found the perfect oil for my hair!

I ordered this hair oil hoping it would help with dry ends. I sometimes get dry ends and thought this hair oil my be beneficial, I also have a hair topper that I use oil to moisturize as well. The hair oil is thick with a light scent. It was easy to apply because of the consistency. I put it on my ends of my hair topper and waited for it to absorb in, as most hair oils do. This oil did not absorb well. My hair looked super greasy and the next shampoo required multiple cleansings to get the oil out. I have thin, fine hair naturally and I get that sometimes oil based hair products are heavy. The main issue that I have with this oil is that even my hair topper that is super thick, had oily greasy ends until the next shampoo. Most hair products I have used absorb in, but this hair oil seemed to just sit on the surface of the hair. Since I had to shampoo multiple times to get my hair clean, I feel like I counteracted any moisturization that the oil offered. I don't like this oil for my hair at all, I might try using it on my skin to get some use out of it.

As someone who takes my hair health seriously — especially with my natural 4B/4C curls — I was curious to see if this would live up to the hype, especially compared to some of the oils I’ve used for years.Product quality:The bottle is gorgeous — deep blue glass, sleek dropper top, very high-end feel. It looks like something you'd see in a spa or high-end salon. The oil itself has a smooth texture and a light scent that smells clean and expensive, but not overpowering.Color:It enhances my natural curl pattern a little bit and doesn’t leave a greasy residue and seems to bring out my natural texture and color.Shine:I do notice a nice, subtle shine after using it, especially when I apply it as the last step after styling.Hair health:Here’s where I was underwhelmed: while it adds shine and smoothness, I didn’t feel a huge difference in the actual health or softness of my hair over time. I’ve used richer oils that left my ends feeling nourished for days — this one feels more cosmetic than restorative.Effectiveness:It didn’t really help much with dryness or frizz, and I had to reapply more often than expected.Ease of application:The dropper makes it easy to apply in small amounts — which is key with pricier products like this. Just a few drops warmed in my hands goes a long way.Overall, it’s a nice oil if you're into luxury beauty and want something lightweight to finish your look or smooth down flyaways. But if you’re looking for deep hydration or something to really improve your hair’s condition — especially for thick, coily, or high-porosity hair — this might not be strong enough on its own. I’ll finish the bottle because it’s lovely to use, but I’m not sure I’d repurchase at this price.

Bonus - it smells great tooHair health:My hair was very dry and brittle from lots of beach trips - this oil helps mend the dry ends if used daily.Shine:I don't apply so much that I have noticed any shine, but my hair feels amazing after using it.Value for money:This stuff is pretty pricy, but a little goes a long way, so it will last months (depending on how much hair you have and how often you use it)Scent:This oil smells sooooo good.Dryness:This hair oil is oily, but doesn't leave my hair feeling oily at all. Overall, I have grown to love this Augustinus Bader brand and using all the products (shampoo, conditioner & this hair oil) works best! I love it and highly recommend it!

I really like this hair oil, as it does not have a strong scent, & it is lightweight in my hair. It makes my hair so soft & shiny !!! The package is perfect with the pump style dropper which gives the perfect amount to use. I would & have recommended this hair oil!
