Great set of speakers for the price
I had to return the first set I got, as when I switched on the power, the light came on briefly and then just went out. After that, the refused to work. Not sure why you can't contcat Amazon and just request a replacement set, or if you have to do it through the seller, but after I had sent back the faulty set, I just charged ahead and bought a new set.Sound is amzing (ok not Hi Fi quality), but it's good enough for my ears. I'm pumped "Welcome to Jamrock" on it, which is a bassy Reggae/Dancehall tune and it handled the acoustics very well.Power lead was long enough and the lead which joins the two speakers is also of a good length. Now to the downsides1. The two satellite speakers have a cheap plastic look to them and whilst they look great when lit up, I still think they could have been made too look a bit better2. The blue LED light on the subwoofer box is a bit intense. Even on the floor, I can still see it, out of the corner of my eyeAll in all, definately a worthwhile purchase especially if you don't have a lot of space on your desk and the speakers are a doddle to set up.

Where fantastic but maybe now a bit over priced?
These speakers are just amazing for the price! they have rich deep base with good treble range, when switched on the clear plastic panels light up blue which just adds to their overall look, although the light is a bit strong at time and could do with a dimmer switch. The unit itself is connected to a 3.5mm audio jack so you can just plug it into a laptop, PC, mobile phone etc (obviously it's mains powered as well).Checking the current unit available the makers have realized they've got a bit of a jem as the price has gone up since i bought it in May 2015 (it was £39.99), at the new price of £49.99 they've got a bit more competition and probably aren't now the best value for money but my star rating is based upon the old price when i bought it.

Absolutely brilliant
Absolutely great. Better than I could hope. Sound brilliant. Price was great as I chose the blue speakers as the other colours were more expensive. Would definitely recommend these. Sound is great

Can't complain, decent, good looking speakers!
These speakers are much smaller than I thought, but the sound quality is pretty decent for its size. Don't expect your ears to get blown off, these are ideal for a small room to connect your ipod or TV into. The lights look pretty awesome in the dark and the 2 small speakers are really thin and barely take any space up. The bass can be adjusted but I'm sure about 90% of the people would have it turned up full all the time. The lights can be turned on or off, depending on preference and if you have the bass up full, the blue lights blink to the rhythem of the bass (although it's barely noticeable). I would say around £30 would be the right price for these, but having said that, they have decent bass and sound quality. Not disappointed at all with the purchase, but don't buy these thinking they'll be a cheap alternative to a hi fi sound speaker system.****UPDATE****These have finally decided to give up on me after 5 years of very good use. Shame, as the subwoofer is all fine, just the connection from the speakers into the subwoofer seem to be intermittent, they still work if you are willing to hold the cable in, but the lights have given up completely. Slightly gutted, but definitely for my money's worth!

Awful speakers
I should have read the other reviews , the sound from these is terrible , crackling tinny noise from, not what you’d expect for £20, never mind the £50 that they actually cost .You need to have the sub on your desk too as that has the controls on it, (albeit on the rear) .They’re just bad , never had the reactive lights working either , I’ve read you have to have a certain volume level etc , to be honest I’m that bothered I’d rather they just sounded half decent .

A good set of speakers.
On first impressions today I have to say I am pleasantly surprised with the speakers considering the mixed reviews. The sound is nice and clear. And they are more than loud enough. The lit up twin speakers I. Red definitely matched my set up and added a nice touch aesthetically.I see alot of reviews regarding the life of the speakers and it seems that alot of customers have experienced issues after 12-18 months of use. I will be updating my review in the future to update the review but for now I am happy with the speakers.

Packaging was brill and seting up easy. Be advised that wire from speakers to subwoofer ...
Suits my bedroom completely. Not as loud as I thought but I never planned to have party with these speakers. It's far enough for my small bedroom. Packaging was brill and seting up easy. Be advised that wire from speakers to subwoofer can be a bit tricky to plug in properly! Lovely speakers!!!

An Updated Review after 30 months.
So after 30 months, I feel like this should be updated for accuracy purposes, I'll leave my original review below my update. The lighting has gone on one speaker so that it flickers a lot which can be a tremendous distraction, but most importantly the audio quality has dipped to an unbearable level now. The bass has remained but it now completely overpowers the actual audio. Even lowering the bass manually using the subwoofer just means that the audio becomes too quiet to hear at a reasonable volume.I would say this started happening at the 18-24 month mark, so whilst they do look attractive, be mindful that a long life may not be something you get out of them, as this also happened to my friend's as well.Original Review ---The lights don't actually pulse, regardless of levels of bass or volume. That's the only gripe though. The colours are very nice, the build very unique, very easy to set up and most importantly the audio quality is excellent, being crisp with a good bass to it.Ended up recommending to my friend who bought a red set, which looks and sounds equally impressive.
