I usually listen to music using a Meridian 101 preamp and M3 active speakers but due to recent redecoration and the fact that at the moment I am unable to run all the cables necessary between the preamp and speakers I needed an alternative that would be wireless and still provide decent sound quality.After much research I settled on the JAM Heavy Metal bluetooth speaker and Golvery Bluetooth Transmitter and Receiver and I have not been disappointed.The JAM speaker is powerful for its size and the bass is tight and clear, much more so that I ever expected from such a small unit. Not sure how they have managed it but I have to say it is a great little speaker. Batter life is good, exactly as claimed and it was so easy to set up in bluetooth. I have the speaker sitting 30 feet away from the transmitter and have no problems with signal drop up.The Golvery transmitter is small and compact but is a very capable little unit (see photo,you would hardly know it was there!). Overall it was pretty simple to set up though the instructions for pairing with two devices were not as clear as they could be. That said, after a couple of goes I have paired the transmitter with my headphone too. Range has proved to be better than I expected and I can listen using the headphones at around 50 feet from the transmitter and that is through 2 walls, a staircase and some furniture which is beyond what I expected. Can't comment on battery life for the transmitter as I only use it powered off a USB source.All in all, a pair of great pieces of quality kit and at such great prices. I'm looking to purchase another bluetooth unit to work as a receiver so will be buying another Golvery unit without any hesitation.

Works like a dream to connect our old hifi into a Bluetooth connection to Bluetooth speaker in another room without trailing wires for another set of speakers, just fabulous. So easy to sort. Am a happy bunny listening to old cds and vinyl whilst hubby watches footie.

We bought this for a grandparent, who's hearing is not so good, if we wanted to watch TV together, the TV would have to be unbearably loud, for her to hear comfortably!With this, I was easily able to connect it to the Virgin receiver! Now, she listens on a pair of Bluetooth headphones and the TV can be at a a normal volume!It works a treat, easy to pair, easy to connect to the receiver, it was the perfect solution for our little problem!

I Have struggled for years with hearing problems despite a hearing aid and a Bose sound bar I could not hear words clearly and my wife sat in a different room to get away from the loud volume. During the festive season I was using Bluetooth headphones a lot for music from my IPad and thought I wish the TV could be the same! That is when I looked into using my Bluetooth headphones with the TV and discovered this brilliant device. I could have bought cheaper versions but decided to pay a bit extra after reading the reviews. Initially I was quite disappointed as the unit is tiny and I was a bit sceptical, anyway I charged the Golvery until the light went out and then tried to pair it with my headphones, took a little time but solid blue light came on and I plugged it into my TV headphone socket and Wow I was blown away! This is only my second day of use and there are issues such as having to remove it to charge as I do not want the batteries to go flat, I do not have a USB port handy so I have to remove it for charging. I will fit a Velcro pad so I can stick it behind the TV and remove it easily.The sound quality is excellent and no delay in speech on films etc, so I can now listen to a film and understand the voices after all these years. My wife gets absolute peace although she still prefers to watch different programmes!The issues are getting used to sound coming from the Tv through the headphones but after a few hours it was fine, quality of headphones and comfort if you are sitting for five hours etc could be an issue and will probably upgrade mine to a long battery life with noise cancelling.So far I am delighted and amazed and also annoyed that I did not do this years ago, I am also a Tinnutis sufferer and these help overcome that issue.Great little device and I keep my fingers crossed for many years pleasant listening.

I'm amazed at the amount of functionality that has been squeezed into such a small package.The ergonomics are very good and overall, I can highly recommend this item.Audio quality is very good and latency is very low (aptx coding is used, I believe)I expect to buy another one before very long for a family member as a birthday gift. *Update 18/10/22 - having now bought a total of five over the last year or so, I've been disappointed by the unreliable battery life on two out of four (just had to pay a significantly-increased price for yet another replacement ... sorry, Golvery but no more after this!)*update* 15/3/20 - just ordered it :-)

I bought one of these back in 2018 to use Bluetooth headphones with TV. Works very well, no lag. Also been used as a receiver occasionally with old stereo. Bought this second one recently for my parents who want to use a Bluetooth speaker with their small tv. They are elderly and the same one seemed a good idea in case of the ‘how does it work’ phone calls. So far, no such phone calls. They find it very easy to use and same good quality as my one. Very pleased with both!
