Compatible with Small Block Chevy A/C Air Conditioning Compressor Mounting Bracket SBC LWP Long Water Pump Driver Side 9919L

Installed compressor on sbc with short water pump and headers. The bracket shown needed to be modified in two places for my application to clear the header and to allow the front bracket to fit. I used the two long spacers and the two long bolts provided to mount the modified bracket at two of the header mounts in the block. The front bracket mounted directly to the upper right water pump monting bolt. The adjustment bracket mounted to the compressor. All three bracket holes were aligned with the two holes in the compressor and the long bolt provided was installed. Finally, the compressor was rotated and the adjustment bolt was installed. Strong, sturdy and relatively easy kit. I recommend it.

I’m sure it would work fine but needs better product description! For Sanden style compressors. I am doing an original setup with a A6 compressor and had to source more brackets that actually fit. 1971 C-10 w/ SBC 350 & headers.

It doesn't fit with a stock power steering bracket. And it takes about 30 days to get a refund.

Upgrading factory A/C to Sanden A/C compressor on my SBC. This bracket assembly style is close to some other brands of bracket assemblies offered on-line, but has its own nuances. Instructions for this bracket assembly are non-existent. I did find instructions on the web for a different brand that was close to this style to make a good basis for measurements and position. The brackets themselves are oriented and drilled correctly and are heavy duty. The weld on the pivot bracket is strong and true. The Installation spacers need to be modified (cut) to your specific application. I also had to trim the pivot hole (about 1/4") on the main bracket to allow the A/C compressor to move aft a little bit to align the pulley grooves. By no means a plug and play bracket assembly, but been a fun project to tinker with.BTW- The description states will NOT work with factory Power Steering Bracket. If you had factory A/C you can modify the existing A/C bracket to support the side of the PS pump. If you don't have factory A/C but do have factory PS, I don't know what that set up would look like, so you'll have to evaluate on your own. I painted the brackets with a high temp ceramic black paint and looks great. Overall a good product for the project. Saved about $70 over a competitors bracket assembly that would have been well over a 2 month lead time to arrive and no guarantee that it would be plug and play.
