Let me take you back to December 23rd. I return home from work to find that my wife took our daughter to see Santa at the mall. My mixed family (Jewish-me, Christian-wife, and unknown at the moment child) were sitting on the couch and enjoying some peaceful times. I ask my daughter what she did during the day and she tells me she saw Santa. So Santa does what Santa’s do and asked her what she wanted. Out of nowhere she says a hoverboard. This was nowhere on any list she had made. So I immediately panic and look for a hoverboard I can receive the next day. I’m not exactly an overindulgent father but if I can provide then I will. Found this one was was delivered next day just in time to hide before my daughter sees it.Fast forward to today. It’s stupid cold where we live and my daughter hasn’t taken a normal step in over a month. Hoverboard to the bathroom. Hoverboard to get a snack. Hoverboard to open the door. Hoverboard to help sweep the floor.So while I worry about her legs going into atrophy, she does seem to like it.

Buyer beware based on our experience. The hoverboard broke after two months of normal use on paved roads. I contacted the company and followed their instructions of calibrating and testing the hoverboard twice including sending them the verifying videos. We were instructed that we had to disassemble the hoverboard and cut inside wires to destroy it and send them these photos. This is the most work I have had to do to get a new broken item replaced. At that point they sent a new hoverboard but the wrong color. When I contacted them about the wrong color I was told that they made "an exception" in our case and sent a new hoverboard instead of their policy to send a refurbished item and that they do not guarantee color on replacement items. They said due to the pandemic they were out of the blue color and just sent a black instead. I told them that I would have gladly waited for the correct color. They responded by saying they hoped I appreciated getting a new replacement item and it was left at that with no further offer to get us the correct color due to issues related to the pandemic. I understand that things break and I understand that there are long waits at this time due to the pandemic. We would have waited. Now we are stuck with a black hoverboard instead of the blue one that was a birthday present for our daughter. For $250 I expect to get what we originally purchased if it breaks. Here is the company's email to see for yourself:"When it comes to replacement items, factory refurbished and tested units are sent out as replacements but in your case we made an exception and sent out a brand new hoverboard. When it comes to replacements, we try to send the same model that the customer has so that they get the same specifications/features but the color is not guaranteed to be the same. We do not have the blue color in stock and and do not have an ETA. We hope you appreciate receiving a brand new hoverboard in a timely manner."

I've bought and tested 8 hoverboards before landing on this one. It is by far the best for the sub $300 price point. The balancing seems very off on most of the other brands. Here it's natural.

Awesome product! Battery life was amazing, and really fun to ride! Its big tires are great to climb outside. Also its Bluetooth speakers are full of fun, while you ride, plus the app is free and tracks how fast you’re going. Must by if your looking for some fun!

We would have liked to give a positive review - at first my granddaughter was thrilled with the hoverboard. It was easy to activate, learn to use, and both attractive and sturdy. It was a bit pricey, but we thought it was worth it, given the company's reputation and the product quality. However, after fairly light use (especially over the winter), it will no longer charge. (Although the charger lights turn from red to green, the unit won't run for longer than 5 minutes). We understood that the warranty was 90 days, but were hopeful that the company would help us, minimally, troubleshoot the issue. For the investment, we expected better than 9 months of operation! The company was NOT helpful in the least. We won't buy from them again.
