I bought three of these double-cylinder door knob entry sets (along with dead-bolts) all keyed the same to replace old hardware that were having problems. I have installed two sets so far and have no problem doing the installations although I am a "handy" guy so this is not at all outside my abilities (many people would need assistance). Before purchasing I was concerned about the operation of this type of entry set that uses a key on both sides due to another review here on Amazon. That review outlined what the purchaser described as problems with locking from one side of the door and being able to unlock from the other side (and needing to keep a key inserted into the lock to maintain ability to unlock from the other side). You'll need to go find that review to get the full picture of the problem. I asked the seller about this before purchasing and they assured me that this entry set was not supposed to work the way described in the review and the set was likely defective. I can tell you that the sets I have operate exactly like they are supposed to. I can lock and unlock from either side as expected without having to leave a key in the lock cylinder. The hardware seems high quality and unit is easy to operate (along with the related dead-bolt units) - no sticking.

Overall this is a great door knob for what I wanted. It’s a little difficult for me the average handyman dad who does occasional house repairs. The latching mechanism came apart on me when I was trying to fit it in the edge of the door due to an error on my part but I was able to figure out how to get it back together and everything on it works perfectly as it should. You do have to remove at least one of knobs using the tool provided in the package. The instructions weren’t too bad. Had to read them a couple times to make sure I was putting it in the door correctly. The knob can be left unlocked for freedom of entry and exit. Once it was in though it was exactly what I wanted.

This lock appears to be decent quality but it is misrepresented on Amazon. The description says that it comes with an SC4 (6-pin Schlage C keyway) however it arrives with a Yale Y1 keyway. This actually spelled out in the Q&A section but if you don't read those you may purchase a lock that is incompatible with others if you expect a Schlage keyway.

Doesn’t feel cheap like others. Very smooth operation and well made, no complaints.

Living with someone who has Dementia is not an easy task but having this lock on our door that needs a key to open it from either side helps my family be safe and sleep more soundly not having to fear someone will unlock the door and wander away. This product removes that stress and worry out of our minds for good. I highly recommend this double sided key lock for protection of your family members and added Peace of mind.1

It took a little while to get used to because the key stays in the door when it's open. You can't remove it. I hide the key nearby so it's unreachable to the outside. You have to use it to open the door. No one from the outside can break the window to unlock the door.

High quality. Would prefer a "smart key" function. Very few double key options out there, so this one is worth it.

Doesn't work. lock came out of place...couldn't open. Finally got off the door and can't get the handles apart. wouldn't not buy again.
