Affordability vs. Deserve-ability
Tested H95s and returned since they don’t compare (ambience & depth) to the Master & Dynamic earphones I have been using for the past few years. I then came across H100 (didn’t know it existed). Purchased it with the feeling that it may likely be returned due to same reasons as H95s (perhaps due to my inherent bias with earphones).H100s surprised me from the first minute of listening. These are fantastic headphones - not by degrees but by a generation (paradigm shift) compared to the H95s. No wonder it’s priced almost double!I remember a statement by the manager of a Bentley car dealership as I was finishing the paperwork (some years ago). He said when you buy vehicles like Bentley, question is not about whether it’s worth the premium, rather it’s whether you deserve it. As much as it sounds like a good marketing strategy, something reminded me about that statement when it came to purchasing these headphones. My verdict - If you can “comfortably” afford it (akin to a tree falling in the woods), this is the absolute best sounding headphones I have owned!

Ridiculously overpriced but worth every penny
For people who are not sound engineers but not mer mortals either with good sense of sound and music, this are just the best headphones made right now. I ve got other popular high end brands, BO.., BOW, Dj brands also but this headphones are exquisite to your whole senses. Its amazing, and I won’t refer to the design because they look as poor people can be seen next to you, extremely poorest if wearing them by their side, they are Just… perfect

A Masterpiece of Design and Sound, With Some Quirks
Bang & Olufsen has long been a name associated with acoustic luxury, and the Beoplay H100 continues that tradition with a striking blend of high-end materials, innovative design, and audiophile-grade performance. The price is rather insane. This is not a headphone for the average consumer, but rather for a discerning listener who values craftsmanship and tonal sophistication. Does it justify the price tag? That’s a more complex question. Technically, the H100 is a superb piece of engineering, but it doesn’t come without compromise.Design & MaterialsThe Hourglass Sand variant of the H100 exudes minimalism and premium tactile feedback. Every component of the headphone feels carefully considered, from the aluminum accents to the textured glass touch surfaces on the outer earcups. These capacitive glass panels are not only aesthetically striking but also very responsive, supporting gesture controls for playback and calls. Unlike most implementations that rely solely on swipe gestures, the H100 integrates discrete rotary knobs on each cup—one for volume and one for noise cancellation/transparency mode toggling. These knobs are mechanically damped and satisfyingly tactile, giving physicality to an otherwise digital experience. The headband and earcups are finished with what appears to be a vegan or synthetic leather exterior, paired with soft memory foam inside. While the fake leather on the carrying case might disappoint purists, it is nicely lined on the inside and provides decent protection. The headphones themselves feel incredibly dense and robust, giving off a reassuring weight that complements the luxury branding.Comfort & ErgonomicsThis is one area where the H100 falters slightly. The clamping force is firm—noticeably stronger than that of competitors like the Sony WH-1000XM5 or the Bose Quiet Comfort Ultra. Over extended listening sessions, particularly for users with larger heads, the pressure can become fatiguing. The earcups are generously padded, but the stiffness of the clamp may require a break-in period. While not uncomfortable outright, they don’t reach the ergonomic heights of Sony or Bose’s flagship models.Sound QualityThe Beoplay H100 is clearly tuned with an audiophile audience in mind—though its default tuning might leave some cold. Out of the box, the sound signature feels somewhat neutral with a slight midrange dip, and the bass, while tight, lacks the visceral punch that some listeners may expect from a flagship over-ear model. Treble is well-extended but can feel a touch restrained in its default profile.Thankfully, the equalizer within the B&O companion app offers customizable tuning—but it is not user-friendly. The app interface leans more toward artistic UX than technical control, with a radial sound field that includes vague descriptors like “Bright” or “Relaxed.” While you can dial in a rich and engaging tonal profile, it takes effort and experimentation. Audiophiles might find the EQ frustratingly imprecise.Once properly tuned, the headphone delivers exceptional clarity, layering, and spatial imaging. Instrument separation is excellent, and the sense of air and dimensionality puts it in a tier well above mainstream offerings like the XM5. The detail retrieval is especially noteworthy, with microdynamics preserved even in complex orchestral or electronic arrangements. It doesn’t just sound good—it sounds refined.Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)Bang & Olufsen’s ANC performance has historically lagged behind the market leaders, but the H100 makes major strides. The ANC here is very strong—on par with the Sony XM5 in most everyday scenarios. Low-frequency rumble is handled deftly, and higher-frequency chatter is significantly reduced without introducing hiss or pressure artifacts. Transparency mode is natural-sounding, though it still slightly colors the external sound environment. There’s also minimal degradation of audio quality when ANC is activated. I only use it at home.Connectivity & BatteryThe H100 supports standard Bluetooth 5.3, with multipoint pairing and stable connections. However, at this price point, it’s a bit disappointing to not see advanced codecs like aptX Adaptive or LHDC for higher-resolution wireless playback. SBC and AAC are fine for most iOS users.Battery life is solid even with ANC enabled. Charging is via USB-C and relatively fast—about 2 hours for a full charge.VerdictThe Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 is an outstanding headphone in nearly every metric that matters—build quality, acoustic finesse, and design language. It offers a listening experience that, once properly EQ’d, is easily among the best in the wireless ANC category. However, at its current asking price, its value proposition is hard to justify unless you specifically seek luxury, aesthetics, and craftsmanship.Would I recommend buying it at full price? No! But is it one of the best-sounding and most beautifully crafted headphones on the market today? Absolutely.

Unbelievable
I originally bought these because I thought the H-95 didn’t have enough power and volume. I must say that not only do the H-100 have more power, but the sound quality for a wireless pair of headphones is unbelievable. I don’t have the words to describe properly or to give these headphones justice. But the clarity, separation of instruments, the bass must be heard to understand and appreciate. I know they are heinously expensive but if you have the money and are an audiophile you need to check them out. I told myself well if they don’t perform up to the price tag I’ll send them back. I put on LED Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven and within 30 seconds I had decided to keep them. The materials are of course top notch. They are very comfortable and the ANC is very much improved over the H-95’s. They are still not as good as Sony, Bose, or Apple’s headphones for ANC, but they are very close. The microphones are good and phone calls are great and sound natural. They have 30-40 hours of playtime and the coolest thing is the auto shutoff and turn on is simply taking them off or putting them on. It’s a really cool feature and better than any other headphones I have owned. But above everything else is the sound quality. Nothing and I mean nothing even comes close to them in this department.

Price doesn’t justify the performance.
Lack of bass compared to the H95. Better build material but the headband was makes creaking noise when walking around. Touch control is an improvement. The Dolby Atmos function seems to be useless, it reduces sound quality. I leave it off all the time. For the price you could have brought focal Bathys, H95 used, and possibly px8 used or a full hifi system with focal Celestee and ifi zen signature DAC/Amp.
