Dirtbusters Carpet Cleaner Solution Cleaning Shampoo, Clean & Deodorise With Reactivating Odour Treatment, Aroma Fresh (5L)

Smells lovely, very fresh. The scent doesn’t linger for long after using it but it’s noticeable for the few hours afterwards.I Normally use the Bissell 1L bottle of cleaner, but for a few pounds more I could get this which is 5L, so I did. On the value for money front, it’s great. If you frequently use yourCarpet cleaning machine or are planning to do an entire house, then this by far is the most cost effective.It does clean very well, foams up just enough as a detergent, and pulls light dirt out of the carpet no problem. With an easy 1:9 solution ratio - my tank uses about 200ml in one go. I would say on pure quality, it’s a lot more diluted and thinner than my usual carpet cleaning solution, as this one is more of a water than a syrup like the Bissell (which cleans brilliantly, it’s just too expensive) but I would say in contrast to the value for money and cleaning quality of this stuff, that’s marginal. Very impressed with it for the price and will buy again.

I bought a Vax Platinum carpet cleaner recently and was not particularly interested in paying around £40 for the premium own brand cleaner so I looked around for a budget option.There were a couple of solutions from different brands to choose from so I settled on this for its large quantity, low price and good reviews.I have just finished cleaning the whole house (every room is carpeted) and the carpets are looking a lot better. Here are a few thoughts:- A lot more dirt was brought up than I expected (due to both the carpet cleaner's power and the quality of this solution).- I used a little more solution than the recommended 1:100 dilution but at this low price, it didn't really matter to me. There is still plenty left for a few more cleans of the whole house.- The carpets may have looked a lot better after the cleaning but were not 'brought up as new'. However, I never really expected that so I'm not at all disappointed.- The machine came with 2x250ml of Vax's premium cleaning solution which I used up in one large room. There was no visible difference in cleaning performance between that and this Dirtbusters solution.- Drying time was fine. The carpets only felt slightly wet after a thorough deep clean and were dry in a couple of hours. The solution does not leave a residue or cause discolouration.One quick tip: if you add the cleaning solution to Vax's or any other brand's dedicated cleaning solution compartment, it will be used up far too quickly as your cleaner will 'automatically' dispense solution at the same time as water in its 'wash mode'. Instead, I added the solution to the clean water tank in my own preferred dilution ratio (around 100ml in about 5L) and left the cleaning solution compartment empty. I then selected the 'rinse' mode (where the machine is dispensing, scrubbing and sucking up what it thinks is water only). The end result was perfectly fine.All in all, a highly recommended carpet cleaning solution that performed as well as a premium solution.

I use this in a Vax carpet cleaner as it's cheaper than the official stuff, and comes in larger quantities. It smells really nice, but the only problem i've got with it is that it foams up a lot more than the official Vax product, which means i can't fill the tank quite as full as I would normally because otherwise the foam rises up and gets drawn through the blower (that's probably bad for it)

This product works really well! Got stains out that my usual vax cleaner didn't. The smell from the bottle is absolutely gorgeous, doesn't smell once on carpet but I'm not bothered by that, the main thing to me is that they are clean. Very happy and it will last a long time, it's brilliant value for money and I will buy again 😁

not too perfumed, worked well but no mention online of the fact that a 50/50 mix is needed which compared to others is high making it expensive

After many years of using VAX cleaning products and finding them to be pretty average, at best, I decided to try something new. This product is amazing. It really works! Stains and difficult to clean patches come up beautifully. For stains, use a toothbrush and some neat solution, then go over with the machine. Fantastic result! I used it half and half diluted on the first pass and it did the trick for most areas. I did one very large room and two small rooms at my daughters flat - in a terrible state from previous owners - and they came up beautifully. I wouldn't use anything else.

First off the product is great value for the amount.That is probably the only positive however.The scent is lovely, but not recognisable after using it on my floors unless you sniff them luke dog might.The bottle could do with some kind of attachment, I only need to add a small amount to my carpet cleaner through a small opening.Not easy to do with such a large bottle, lost a fair bit when filling it.
