A Hunter's Honest Take
Hunters and shooters looking for a stable and versatile shooting platform will likely come across the BOG DeathGrip Tripod. With its "death grip" clamping system and robust build, it promises a steady aim and hands-free operation. But does it live up to the hype? Here's an honest look at the BOG DeathGrip Tripod to help you decide if it's the right fit for your needs. The Good:The standout feature of the BOG DeathGrip is undoubtedly its clamping system. It provides a secure hold on a wide variety of firearms, from rifles to crossbows, offering a truly hands-free experience. This is a significant advantage for glassing, calling, or simply having a ready-to-shoot setup in a blind.Stability is another major selling point. The tripod's sturdy aluminum (or often, a slightly lighter but pricier carbon fiber) construction and adjustable legs provide a solid base on various terrains. This gives an improved accuracy and confidence when shooting off the DeathGrip, especially at longer ranges or for my son and less experienced shooters. The adjustability of the legs, allowing for shooting from a low prone position up to a standing height, adds to its versatility. The inclusion of features like a bubble level and degree markings further aids in setting up a level and precise shooting platform. The Not-So-Good:One of the most frequently cited drawbacks of the BOG DeathGrip is its weight. The aluminum version, while durable, can be cumbersome to carry on long hunts or in a run-and-gun scenario. While a carbon fiber option exists, it comes at a higher price point. It gets heavy on these long walks into the woods I take but well worth the results using it.The bulkiness of the tripod, even when collapsed, can be a concern for hunters who prioritize a compact and lightweight setup. It's not the most packable option on the market. The Verdict:The BOG DeathGrip Tripod is an excellent choice for hunters and shooters who prioritize stability and hands-free operation, especially those who hunt from a blind or a fixed position. Its clamping system is a game-changer for many, and its adjustability makes it suitable for various shooting scenarios. However, if weight and portability are your primary concerns, you might find the DeathGrip a bit too heavy and bulky. While generally durable, it's essential to handle it with reasonable care to ensure its longevity.Ultimately, the BOG DeathGrip offers a compelling combination of features at its price point. Weigh its pros and cons against your specific hunting or shooting style to determine if it's the right investment to help you make that crucial shot.

Remarkable improvement
For an old man that does not have the stability in his arms. This is absolutely perfect. Still learning how to use it but right out of the box. The improvement was incredible. I might actually hit what I’m aiming at now. Lol.

Best investment that anyone could make.It helps with muscle fatigue, help steady the rifle so you can make it cleaner and more accurate shot.Especially if you are zeroing in a rifle with a new scope this helps tremendously.

Hunting Tri-Pod
Second of this brand for hunting I have bought. Easy to use, adjustable legs are great plus the option to have metal on the ground or rubber for quiet stalking in the woods. In the cold it’s nice to have the foam on the handle when carrying

Are you going on a wild pig hunt, this tripod will be a game changer.
Depending on where you live, wild boars and pigs can ruin your landscape, garden or "back forty" in one or two nights. They usually feed in large groups, so if you can set-up your hide in an area that gives you the best field of view, now you can just place your rifle on this tripod and have a "field" night. the only thing that is better, a THERMAL SCOPE. The "Death Grip" is how this tripod holds your rifle, you also have infinite height adjustment so anyone can use it. The head swivels so you have 360* tracking (TIP: when you first take it out of the box you WILL need to rotate the head counterclockwise at least two full turns). The head also cants up and down so if you need to follow a pig up a hill or down a slope you should be covered. I don't get to use mine very often, but when I am sitting in a blind, I can leave my rifle mounted in the tripod, so it is always ready. Once you try one you will wonder why you waited soo long to get it.
