Easy to set up. Accurate and fantastic value for money - good fun Edit on Accuracy
Easy to set up and use. Had such fun with this unit after six weeks of reliable working. Chose this one as seen poor reviews for ones with anemometer and decided we can 'see how windy it is'. Also this has a simple UK automatic clock set up, which worked as described. Seems accurate, we checked both sensors with a standard thermometer. The humility sensors seems accurate. Barometer pressure is consistent with nearest weather station when I've checked - pressure ranged from 1040 to 995 over the past 7 days! and that agreed with met office. What is great about the barometer is that it tracked changes over time and gives a pretty accurate forecast. It has on several occasions this spring predicted rain showers when the BBC hasn't. My wife blames it for causing the rain. We have had a lot of fun with it. Been itching to give a good review, but waited for six weeks for reliability testing. Pleased we chose the cheaper wide screen version as easy to read, good clock and fantastic value for money. I don't give many reviews but this deserves to be rated.ACCURACY - DONT HAVE UNDUE EXPECTATIONS - YOUR SET-UP WILL HAVE NATURAL VARIATIONHad this two years and still going strong and surprisingly accurate. HOWEVER SHOULD COMMENT ON ACCURACY. Several reviews comment on this and maybe don't know the science of accuracy - because the digital scale reads to 0.1 degree or 1%RH, does not mean its that accurate. The temp sensor is ca +-1/2 degree, so you can expect two identical ones to read upto 1 degree different and be within specification assuming perfect controlled conditions. However relative humidity is inherently inaccurate +-5% as it depends of temperature of the air. If you bring one inside to test against the other, you need to wait for it to re-acclimatise, this will be quick in dry hot conditions but slow in cool damp conditions as the air needs to properly circulate through the unit, it does not contain a fan to force the air through. Also our own conditions introduce variation, unless its contained in a Stevenson screen box, the set up will introduce errors. So for the price this is a great device. It is very good to monitoring how the weather is evolving at home, ie relative change over time is accurate, but the absolute numbers will be subject to error, some from the sensors limitations but mainly from the local ground conditions at home. This is a great home device, its not an meteorologist tool!

Excellent little weather station
Setup was a doddle, insert batteries and it found the time and sensor within 10 minutes. Bought to replace a nearly 20 year old Oregon, I am so far very happy with this Youshiko. I chose the tall version for its small footprint on my bedside where it is kept, and also preferred the display layout with time at the top and temperature and humidity reading from left to right. The minor downside of this tall version is losing the air pressure history display. Having set the relative barometer reading with the BBC weather app for my location, it is now accurately tracking air pressure. The main unit seems robust and is clear and easy to read. The radio controlled clock is a plus which my previous ageing unit did not have. Placed side by side the readings on the main unit and outside sensor agree on temperature, and differ by just 2 percent for humidity. Reassuringly they also agree closely with my old unit. My old Oregon did have a better made outside sensor, with a rubber gasket and screw down cover, and has been outside for many years and still works. I wonder if the Youshiko 'splash proof' only sensor, will prove as durable... time will tell. I think an outside sensor should be made fully waterproof and is my only reason for deducting one star. Otherwise, and so far this little weather station is a great buy!An update after nearly a year in use: All is still working very well and am very happy with my purchase. It does seem that the main unit batteries (2* AA size) seem to last about 6 months so will need changing twice yearly, though this seems to be a fairly easy procedure!

Tidy unit
Great unit, nice and clear screen and easy to set up. Chose this unit as it just runs on batteries and links to UK time signal.

What's it like outside?
Tells the weather as it is, the white sensor with black module needs some form of direct sunlight shield. Very useful and direct readout with a blue nightlight on demand.

An excellent weather station
An excellent Weather station. Very simple to install. All the information you require is here and very easy to read. As far as I can tell all the information is accurate.

RDS clock/weather unit
Seems a nice gizmo but the weather forecasting side appears to be nuts. We've had fine warm sunny weather most of the week reaching over 86°f on Wednesday. For the first few days the unit said it was sunny or part cloudy and sunny. Since yesterday and for the most part of the last 24 hours, it's said 'rain". Yet, it's still sunny and warmApart from that, the clock keeps acurate time and the indoor/outdoor temperature and humidity seems to match other sensors I have. There's a nice blue backlight for night time reading but as the device is slightly angled you will have to tilt it to read clearly depending if you're lying down or sitting up (if you're in bed, obviously).Set up is straightforward, so all on all an effective time/temp/humidity display with a temperamental weather indicator.

Easy to use quick at updating time and great symbols
So far so good. Was easy to setup, very fast at automatically picking up time, my previous weather station took a day to pick the time up. Good large animated symbols for displaying weather and gives you history option to look at past 24 hours. Handy back light button at the back to press during the night to check the time. Only thing I think isnt so good is it makes the pressure disappear and reappear in some sort of animation that doesn't serve a purpose. Recommend for the price and keep you updated on its progress.

Caveat emptor
You should be wary of buying this product.I purchased the production in Jan 23, less than 6 months later the sensor developed a fault. I tried to report it, but received a message from Amazon, that it was outside the 30 returns policy. This is contravention of consumer rights protection act 2015.Amazon do NOT provide a facility to contact the retailer under their system.Trying to contact the retailer is not an easy process.
