A lifesaver of hidden leaks!
This moisture meter was extremely helpful when I had a cracked kitchen pipe behind the wall. It gave me a good idea of where the moisture was building up, helping me pinpoint the leak without tearing everything apart. The readings are clear, and the backlit screen makes it easy to use. A must-have tool for any homeowner dealing with water damage or trying to prevent mold growth!

Helpful Tool
It worked well and the pins were durable enough to go through drywall easily. Struggled on wood though. Would recommend. Helped us discover that we have a moisture problem throughout a lot of our house and purchased dehumidifiers.

decent enough
It's pretty nice but I'm knocking a star off for not having a wood density setting, you really need that if you're measuring anything other than whitewood. For the price there are cheaper options on Amazon that work just as well. If I was just shopping in a store and this was my only option, it would work, but I'd need to calculate the lower values for other kinds of wood, making it less handy.

The percentage ranges are wrong for dry climates like the desert southwest.
If you live in Las Vegas, Southern Nevada or Arizona, heads up that this product will work but the ranges are wrong. Drywall in the desert southwest is typically 0%, which displays as "--" and you can't tell if it's actually working or not. Anything above 5% is concerning. 15% is still considered "low" by this meter, but that actually indicates serious water problems.
