White Death (NUMA Files Book 4)

Pat Murphy blackens out what are "curse words" and "excessive liquor references" throughout the book
I was horrified and greatly disappointed when I opened White Death. The previous owner has taken it upon herself/himself to blacken out curse words and liquor references throughout the book, plus drawn a line through passages about the female anatomy. Who died and made this person everyone's censor? I doubt highly that Mr. Cussler and Mr. Kemprecos, the authors, would appreciate this treatment of their story. Shame on the person who defiled the book in this manner. There is nothing wrong with the overall story, but the blackened out passages and lined out passages made me stop reading because I got so angry.

Good quick read
I always enjoy an adventure story at bed. Clive never disappoints with his storyline. This little Alaska journey gave a new light to bio engineering fish.

Good book.
I like Clive Cussler anyway. He has different lead characters in all his books. I haven't read all his books but this is another that keeps you reading like you don't want to put it down! This is a good book. I recommend this and all Cussler's books to all. Thanks.

Cussler, White Death
White Death impressed me quite a lot as far as New York Times best-selling thrillers go. I love that Cussler is one of those authors who still writes a full novel instead of an expanded, large printed, larger margined, 60,000 word novellas that Patterson and his readers think are full length novels. Cussler is churning them out at a rather suspicious rate but if the quality is still there and if they don't start double-spacing his books to make them seem as long as they once were, I will continue to read him. Well that and as long as books like White Death keep being made by him. This NUMA file adventure was a very fun ride. I am not going to praise it to death because it didn't blow me away or anything but there were some new things here and even the old predictable things were still fun to read. I mean, if you visit a place and have a pleasant time, you will most likely want to go back again. Let's hope that the charm doesn't wear off. Oh, just to show that I'm not just rambling about my own opinions, I love books that involve the sea and its wildlife and this one involves fish. Sounds simple? It isn't. There is a crazy plot in this book which was one of those new things I mentioned.

ENJOYED action
After having read almost forty of his books, I feel as though I've lost a dear friend with Clives passing. His books never disappoint & White Dead is no exception. Action packed & great characters!

An excellent yarn!
Reviewing my Clive Cussler collection, I was surprised that somehow, White Death (NUMA #4) had escaped me!That has now been rectified. The NUMA Files are some of my favourite Clive Cussler yarns and this one is no exception to the rule.Largely set in the Faroe Islands and Canada, there's plenty of action as Kurt Austin and Joe Zavala once again save the world from disaster - this time from vicious mutant fish. They even get a flight in a gigantic pre-war German airship! If you like far-fetched Clive Cussler tales, you'll enjoy this one too βΊοΈ!

Typical Cussler
A decent plot, romance, action and the same characters popping up. However, his writing misses adverbs, noun phrases - page turning without brain stress.
