Love it
Showed to others at the fire dept and we might buy more for all fire fighters as these are awesome for structure fires and accidents and setting up a landing zone

Good Value but not perfect.
I'm in Afghanistan and I purchased this as an alternative to the Surefire Helmet light. It's much cheaper and uses AA batteries which I thought would be easier to get but it turns out we have plenty of the 123A batteries. It does come with a mount that attaches to molle so you can put the mount on your IOTV and use the light mounted to your gear. SureFire has an optional molle mount you can purchase for about $32.00 USD. So that makes it an even better value. The light works well. Plenty bright in white, blue, or IR. There are three different levels but I think on or off for white would be better since to me there is not that much difference in the various levels. This is the second one of these I've had. I lost the first one in the motor pool after returning from a combat patrol. I was walking acrss the motor pool and reached up to turn on the light and it was gone. Being bumped/snagged on stuff in the vehicle had evidently caused the catch to release the light which fell off after dismounting the vehicle. I found it later after it was crushed under the wheels of an MRAP.The second light wouldn't come on when I wanted to use it on patrol and I thought it was the batteries. Later I found that the safety/mode switch wasn't fully engaged. This should be more positive since most will be wearing gloves when they operate it and you can't see it. So, I was walking across the motor pool/HLZ in the dark fumbling for my flashlight since my helmet light wasn't working and stumbled on a marker. I hit the ground kinda hard. When I got up and checked myself my helmet light had come off but this time I found it.I like the light but now I have a cord attaching it to my helmet band and I know to double check the safety/mode switch when I need to use it.

Buy this for my son in Afghanistan and he says it is AWESOME. That is my thumbs up endorsement for this light.

Broke right out of the package
I have not had a chance to use this product yet. This is because I got it yesterday and a piece of it broke (the battery compartment end cap) right out of the packaging. So it begs the question of how am I supposed to justify relying on this "Tough" and "Tactical" product in rough conditions when it breaks just taking it out of the package?

Not bad.
I settled on this one after months of trying to get a Surefire, which is apparently impossible to find (at least in black). The Energizer Hard Case is just OK.THE GOOD:Helmet mount is low-profile & doesn't interfere with headset, and is reverseable for left or right side of helmet.Lights are bright & simple to operate, even with gloves.THE BAD;The vest mount is too big & does not fit on MOLLE webbing. Most Pals/Molle is 1" and sometimes the specs vary a millimeter or two. This mount is about 1 1/8" wide and it would not fit anywhere on my heavy vest. I had to narrow the sides down with a file.It is not easy to rotate the light, or remove it from either mount without accidentally activating the lights. Expect to practice alot or activate the lockout by loosening the battery compartment.

Great for my bike helmet!
Excellent product. Just what I was looking for to install in my motorcycle helmet.

Durable light
This light is as advertised, however in attempting to locate additional mounts for a specific helmet, I discovered that this light is no longer being made or supported.
