Cobra 8000 PRO HD 7-Inch Navigation GPS for Professional Drivers (Discontinued by Manufacturer)

at 1st I was pleased with it.it has almost all the truckstops on it.i like that it has the rest areas and mm on it too. my problem with it is that it tends to freeze up on me...and often. another issue I have with it is that the view it gives me is wayyy to far up.i can't tell what type of off-on ramps i'm coming up on(like my tom-tom).it shows me things i'm not interested in,like towns and roads.all in all I would not recommend this gps to another truck driver.i'm hoping cobra will work out the bugs as time goes on. it comes with lifetime updates for free. Up date....this thing is a POS!!! Had it 2yrs and it just sucks!!! Customer service ....sucks!!!Broke down and gotta rand mc nally....should've done that first.

Amazingly good quality and very accurate . Bad thing is that it had to be updated once ive received it!

This is a good GPS but theres like a 2,3 second lag in it... I'll already be passed the turn before it tells me its time to turn. Its really frustrating because i spent this money on it for my job, I'm a truck driver and now im stuck with something that clearly is defected.... i never make it to my stops at the right time because its always getting me lost by lagging... dont waste your money.

I purchased this as a gift for a friend that drives semi trucks. He has been using it for over a month now and he seems to really like it. I have read some of the other reviews and so far haven't had any of the the problems other say there is with this gps unit. I was able to download all the updates through my computer very easily. He really likes the size of the display and how easy the touch screen is to use.

Cons:No instuctions of what is capable of; it's all trial and error.Can't find out how to work the address book.Can't find all services needed in the town in which you are located.Pros:Like the HD Screen, it's easy to see.Like the state line distance and toll booth and scales.Like the traffic alerts.

it freeze up too much

I received this product as stated and on schedule. I have had "NO" problems with it in any way. I registered and updated it after a full charge of the battery and it's been fantastic for me. I am no computer genius and can barely operate my stupid phone. This GPS is awesome like the Cobra CB I've had forever.

Not as easy to operate as my old gps I do feel the screen is better than any other unit I have had before

Piece of crap...do not buy this GPS thinking you r going to save money...my husband used it once to get to toronto and it kept freezing and shutting down on him...even with all the recent updates done to it...plus there are roads in Quebec that are not even in there...even rating it one star is too high of a rating for this...wish i could get my money back...worse purchase ever

le seule vrai probleme c que parfois le gps perd sa connection il faut simplement le réinitialiser dans les fonction sa prend environ 4 minutes et il redevient super fonctionel ... n as pas la fonction matiere dangereuse pour contourner les tunnels et dans route option il pourrais fournir un itineraire facultatif au cas ou ... mais en creant une multi route on regle le probleme belle outil de travail facile a utiliser

Too large for a small vehicle, however gave it to a friend who is on the road a lot on business and he loves it.
