I've owned purchased three of these sets in the "Warm White" color and am pleased with them
Picture: "Warm White" color LED strip in the kitchen under the cabinets.I've owned purchased three of these sets in the "Warm White" color and am pleased with them. I've installed one in my own place and I've had two others who had to have them in their own place. This is an easy way to upgrade your own space without having to spend a hundred dollars or more.Pros:*Bright light! This thing will blow out your overhead lights, but you can adjust it (more on that, below).*Color is arguably "warm white" and perhaps more of a "white." For you light nerds, the warm white color appears more like 4,000K and less like ~3,200K. Anyways, the color looks good, but you shouldn't expect an incandescent/halogen color from these LEDs.*The strip is very long and will likely be more than enough for what you need. If not, a great feature is that you can connect them in series or in parallel. For anyone who is not electrically inclined, the instructions show you how to do that. IF you actually do need more length, you'd probably be connecting them in series, and for this, you should search for "LED strip light connector" on Amazon.*You can cut the LED strip, which is great if you had a lot of additional length. After every 3rd LED is a scissors icon. For large surface areas (like under cabinets), making use of any additional length is tricky at best and more information is below.*Adhesive is preinstalled on the LED strip. This aids in mounting the LED strip to most non-greasy surfaces. The adhesive is actually quite strong and I'm fairly impressed at how strong it is, even after several months of use.*Power is quite low: for all 16.4ft of the LED strip powered at 100%, it consumes 24W. To give you an idea, a comparable CCFL bulb consumes 23W (equivalent to 100W incandescent bulb output).*Installation is a synch. Probably 90% of people will be able to unbox the parts and be able to figure it out. Instructions are included for the remaining 10%.*It comes with a remote. It has an on/off switch, dimming buttons (100%, 50%, 25%, and + / - buttons to dim and brighten the light), and 'mode' buttons. There are about 10 other modes and all of them are some form of strobe... I basically don't use them.Cons:*It uses radio frequency to send a signal to the controller to give power. If you have multiple sets of these installed in the same house, all of them will turn on and off. This is in contrast to say, a key fob to a car, which has a specific frequency for that car. I don't really consider this too much of a con since I haven't personally been inconvenienced by this.*If you want to make use of the entire strip by looping it around, it's not easy. It's hard to explain, but the 2nd picture gives you an idea of what you'll have to do. The strip itself does not turn easily on a flat surface you will definitely have some LEDs that aren't flat against the surface you're adhering the strip to. The alternative is to cut the strip and use an LED strip light connector and shape it like a U.*The power adapter is always plugged in to the outlet and doesn't look very good. Fortunately for me, I have an outlet next to my fridge and my knife block is conveniently placed in front of the strip, so it's mostly not visible and out of the way, for me.Overall, this LED strip has all you need, including the strip, power adapter, controller, and remote. The light at 100% is very bright, and we often use it for ambient lighting at night, chopping veggies, and pouring our favorite drinks. For the very low cost of the set, it's quite surprising how bright it is and how well it works. I've had the first set in my own place for 7 months. Even with cooking a lot on my stove, including steam coming up, I've had no issues. Heck, I bought two more, so I definitely would recommend it to a friend.

Great kit for the price - hope the sticky backing holds up!
Never ordered/bought LED light strips before. Wanted something to use to light up my desk from above. Figured warm lights verse white daylights would be best. Since I was more curious then anything as to the build quality, the brightness, the light color, the remote functions, etc I decided to but just the basic kit for now, then if I liked it I'd order all the various pigtails, joiners, etc required to do a custom install.I'm a Prime member so I received the product 2 days after ordering. It came via USPS in bubble pouch in good condition.I have pictures of the "unboxing" to give you some visual....better then me typing everything out.I was expecting it be all lose and willy-nilly in a bag, but pleasantly surprised the kit came all packed in a nice neat box.Items in the box were exactly as described on the product page.First impressions once opened:1) The LED strip width is THIN ...not a negative thing, just expressing that its very thin2) As I unrolled the LED strip from it's wheel I noticed some small "kinks" (for the lack of a better term) that was causing the 3M sticky tape cover to ever so slightly peel away from the bottom of the strip. It was more pronounced at the end of the roll, closest to the power pigtail. Just hope it does not affect the adhesion as that is the only way to mount for my project.3) Once I plugged in, all the lights worked, NO dead LEDs.4) I plugged in the inline RF receiver for the remote and removed the battery protective sleeve but at first got no reaction to remote input. All the lights did was blink real fast. Could not turn off or change brightness. I was afraid I had a bad remote or dead battery. A last ditch fix was to remove the battery and simply put it back in....this worked! Odd.5) Remote worked well, quick response but i did not test it by pushing the distance...as long as it worked.6) I will add that I had a horrific time trying to open the clam shell connector. I tried for over an hour and even resorted to Youtube. With a very small screwdriver (eyeglass repair size) I was able to open/pry the lid up.I like the light "color"...it will be used to illuminate the top of my desk/keyboard but not cause any glare on my monitors. Today I ordered the remaining parts needed to complete this project over the weekend. In order to take whats in this kit and allow me to power a 4ft strip 12ft from a power source, I today ordered the following parts.:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B98ZUBG?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=nav_timeline_asinThis will allow me to connect from strip to 20awg power wire (12 ft) as seen here:http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009VCZ4V8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=nav_timeline_asinThen at the end of 12ft, I connect a DV power pigtail which plugs into the RF (remote) receiver and then to power brick.I'm giving 4 starts for now. I will Update the review and possibly the stars once it's all installed. If it goes well, I can see adding LED, single color and RGB to so many locations!Fitz

Great product and even better Customer Service
I got these lights to put under our kitchen cupboards for counter lighting and they were great. They stick REALLY well, but I was still able to adjust them after I gently stuck them on. Once I knew for sure the way I wanted them I pressed a little more firmly between each light which was time consuming, but worth it to make sure they were on there good. There was a dimmer dial with them which gave great mood lighting, and also really bright light.Unfortunately, after install and turning the lights on, we noticed there were about 2-3 lights that didn't work, but because it was under the counter it was only noticeable if you knew they were out. Customer service contacted me randomly to see how my purchase was, at which point I told the about the lights. They were thankful for the feedback and even offered a $5 return, which I thought was remarkable Customer service.Overall great product and great service!

Outstanding product!
I am sooo Happy with these strip lights! They have a beautiful warm colour, and the dimmer switch is so nice as you can choose exactly how bright or how dim you want the product. I was concerned that it wouldn't be bright enough for my needs, but it far superseded my expectations and I actually dont even use them on the brightest setting as its too bright!! They adhere so well ,...application is simple. Really recommend these strip lights.

Great LED strip!
I have these lights on a long shelf, and they are exactly what I needed. I love that I can control the brightness with the dimming knob. I've used them everyday since purchase and haven't had any issues at all.

Easy to install and use
Like the quality adhesive, quick connection and easy to use dimmer. I was hoping for a bit brighter, but it is reasonably bright. Note that it is an unfinished strip, so suitable for a concealed location, but not a directly visible one.Wire/plug extension is short which means the dimmer adjustment ends up being near the light strip. A longer extension to the dimmer would be helpful.Have only had a few weeks so can't speak to longevity.Overall very pleased with product and price point.

Excellent for windows
I did not use the sticky strip on the back since I wanted these installed in a window from the inside. I used clear scotch tape to hold them in place around the perimeter of windows. Works great. They are super bright, I actually use them on the lowest brightness setting.
