Extremely Versatile Tripod- (Mini-Neistat Tripod)
Great tripod for small cameras and smartphones. I bought this as a tripod for my phone, and it works great for taking videos. I initially became aware of Joby Gorillapod tripods because Youtuber Casey Neistat uses one of the larger models. Thought I would try out this smaller, cheaper model; and I was very pleased!Pros:-Small and easy to take in backpack or daypack.-Can be bent to work in a variety of situations.-Can be wrapped around tree limbs, guard rails, poles, etc.-Can also make a great monopod for selfies or to stabilize the camera/smartphone for shots.-Great for time lapses or Casey Neistat type vlog shots.Cons;-Not able to hold up anything too heavy (I wouldn't recommend anything larger then a point and shoot or smartphone)-Does not come with a phone mount (you can buy one of these for cheap tho) (I have a pink one as seen in the photos. I got it for $2.50 at walmart!)Overall a very reliable and versatile tripod. It is always in my backpack for any time I want to get some cool vlog style shots or time lapses of my day to day actvities! It is not too expensive either! Very reasonable for what you get out of it!

I AM IN LOVE WITH MY JOBY
I got my joby about two weeks ago and i have fallen in love with it, i love making timelapse videos and this helps me capture everything so nicely! My joby is about two inches taller than my iPhone 6+ it's not that big but it does it's job. I hang it on my rearview mirror and use it to hold my phone for a gps, when I'm in the backseat i attach it to the headrest in front of me and enjoy my movies! I love to cook and I'm always preaching into the living room to watch my favorite shows, with my joby, i attach it onto a cabinet in my kitchen and cook! It's easy to adjust and is very useful in some situations, if you have a waterproof case you can make videos while fishing, boating, or even for a trip to the maid of the mist ;) ;) i used it and it gave me a beautiful video! Thank you so much! I will always be carrying my joby around in my book bag and i will DEFINETELY get more in the future

Adaptable but a little flimsy
I had a gorillapod years ago for my small camera and loved it. Never had a problem and used it and abused it on many trips, so when it went missing I decided to buy another one.Ordered this one to use with my GoPro and though it looked and worked the same as my original one the quality of the build was definitely not the same as it used to be. Some of the joints were way too loose to offer any support or stability when wrapped around something, and others were so tight that I would pop out some of the joints before I even made the target one bend or rotate. With something as light as a GoPro I still experienced a little bit of wobble because the arms were not able to give the most secure hold - some of the joints bent under just the weight of that. Used it for a couple of trips before the dislocated joints made it too much of a hassle to use, particularly because cracks kept appearing in many of the socket ends of the joint.

Decent Tri-Pod
One of the little ball things pops out of place sometimes but besides that it works very well for my GoPro.

Great pico projector tripod
I have one of these holding up an Optoma PK320 Pico Projector, which it is well suited for. The HDMI cable plugged into the back does make it a little tippy, so one must stretch the legs out back pretty far.I did end up using this tripod to attach the projector on top of an Apple TV box. It's plenty big for that. The secret behind this tripod is that it is composed of lots of plastic ball and socket joints. They are very tight fitting, or else this wouldn't be much use. Unfortunately, the sockets can crack under all the pressure. One of mine on the first one did crack, so I bought a replacement. I could still use the two-legged one for holding a flash or something, I suppose. I might have given this a 4 star rating instead of 5, but at $20, I can deal with occasional replacements.

Is My Tripod Just Defective?
I don't know if the tripod I received was defective or if they are all like this, but there are several issues I found with this product.Firstly, it is not very stiff so any recording I do drifts away and nothing is still.Secondly, the individual pieces of the legs are quite weak and when I attempt to form them to grip a surface, the joints will pop off without effort. Finally, the tripod has a 'locking' mechanism at the top, which is supposed to keep the piece that holds the camera or phone stable in whatever position you choose to lock it in. My tripod does not lock at all, regardless of what the setting is on. Again, I don't know if my tripod came to me busted or if they are all like this. All in all, I am disappointed in this product and regret not returning it when I had the chance.

Maximum flexibility in a little package
This little tri-pod is very cool, the flexibility is really noticeable and with it you can do pretty much any type of photo, portrait or landscape. My previous portable tri-pod, bought at a large electronics store was not very flexible and the top broke of while trying to take a photo. Right away when I opened this package I noticed that this unit was very user friendly and much more flexible than my previous tri-pod. One very nice feature on this unit is that you can remove the mounting screw from from the base and install it to your camera or telephone mount and then be able to just slide the mounted screw into the tri-pod base making using it so much faster and easier. This is a much better tri-pod for the money and will last throughout the years.
