Excellent quality! Fits over the sink for easy drainage and cleans up easily in the dishwasher. The large size holds all vegetables needed for large pots of soup. Great value for the money! Wish I had found this sooner.

Great strainer for the sink. Makes straining hot and cold foods so much easier.

I chose Cuisinart for it's known quality and their limited lifetime warranty.The strainer has bright and sturdy stainless steel mesh and shiny edging and handles. The mesh is strong and retains it's shape. It is fine enough for rinsing everything but grains and a bit too harsh and large holed for berries - which is fine with me as I use the Cuisinart hand held strainers for tasks that need a finer mesh. Cuisinart CTG-00-3MS Mesh Strainers, Set of 3The bars under the mesh have bends to form feet to protect the mesh and hold it off the counter when taken out of the sink. This is nice as it stays upright instead of rolling to one side or the other as it would without feet.The handles have black rubber like tubes over the ends that rest on the sides of the sink that appear to be of good quality and look like they will hold up with use.I saw the measurements on the product page so I shouldn't have been surprised - but when I opened the box I thought 'wow that's huge' and wondered if it would work out as it takes up so much valuable sink space. I find that I use it so much that it stays in the sink and when I have to use the entire sink space it easily sits on the counter. I now think of it as a valuable addition to easy preparation.

I think the rails feel a bit more wobbly than I would like but it balances alright on the granite countertop. The mesh is a pain to clean so you just have to think twice about cleaning things like greens or fruit/veggies with small bits that come off. It does look nice overall and function as I thought it would. The large size and long shape are great. I sometimes set small dishes in there to dry if my other drying rack is full-- so the mesh seems strong. But a heavy dish could dent the mesh out of shape.

Wish I had discovered this product years ago. Some people complain that things get stuck up inside the lip and it is hard to clean, but as long as you flip it quickly when dumping things out, it rarely gets things stuck in the lip. Also, I clean it by putting it over my sink upside down and use my sprayer on it and everything comes right out. A soft bristled brush with dish soap cleans it well. It is large and sturdy and fits over the sink well. The rubberized grips on the side handles keeps it in place well, too. Love this and love the warranty!

This is really nice, I thought I needed it but would probably be fine with a regular strainer.

This is so much handier than the free standing type of colander. It's stable - no tipping over. It fits fine across either of my two sinks, with only a little adjustment of the handles. I use it perpendicular to me, so that when I pour out a pot of hot water and spaghetti, it presents a wider area to receive the pasta. Since it is suspended at counter level, it leaves plenty of room underneath for the water to drain from the sink. Being mesh, it could be dented I suppose, if one were not careful, but I store it upside down, in order to lessen the chances. And then of course, I don't put anything else on top of it. You could also hang it up. Also, being mesh, nothing gets through it except liquid. Small pieces or large - it works for most everything. I do recommend this product.

I love the over-the-sink feature of this colander, and it seems to be good quality. But as so many other reviewers pointed out, the rim around the top is poorly designed, and food easily gets trapped between the solid rim and the mesh basket, making it difficult to keep that part clean. Otherwise, it's a good colander.
