Fixed several problems at once
The 3 way fridge quit wworking, carbon monoxide detector wouldn't shut off and auxilliary battery was not staying charged. I pulled the inverter, tested the output and ordered this one. It was simple to install and right away the fridge started working, the alarm shut off (highly sensitive to low voltage) and the auxilliary battery stays charged. The old one was 24 years old when it quit, a bit longer than the usual life, glad an exact replacement was available.

GREAT price and OEM equipment for my trailer
Our travel trailer lights (Fleetwood Mallard 290RLS) had been getting dimmer and dimmer and when the AC would kick on, the gas detector would screech due to low voltage. Finally, we switched on the AC one day and nothing happened... we flipped a light switch and nothing happened, we opened the fridge and it was warm inside and no light came on. I bought the WFCO WF9845 12V converter and installed it and voila! Bright, white lights throughout the trailer; the AC came on; the fridge began working again. Life is good now! :) One secret if you have the same trailer as we do, the transformer is NOT located under the fridge as you'd expect, it is next door under a shelf in the bathoom -- still only 2 feet or so from the power distribution panel, but in a different room so it took me a while to find it.Oh yeah, this is a GREAT price. I priced it at 2 different RV dealers in our area (DFW to Waco) and both wanted close to $240 for the exact same unit. Buy it online and you're sure to save money.UPDATE: It is now October of 2015 and the unit is still working perfectly so I can tell you it'll last more than a year, or at least it has for us.

Direct fit replacement
The old 35 amp converter burned out, this was a direct fit in the confined space of the fuse panel. easy change over and solved all the electrical issues I was having. The old converter was about 20 years old. Hope this last as long, assuming I still have the camper.

I knew from reading the reviews that I'd better have a drill handy to install it
As mentioned by others, 10 years seems to be the lifespan for these converters in RV use, my 11 year old WFC #WF-8845 unit was no exception. This WF-9845 is the current 45w replacement for the old 8845, and works quite well. It's a little smaller in size than the older unit so if you're replacing an 8845, this 9845 will be the way to go. Only one thing kept me from giving it 5 Stars, and that's the fact that for some reason WFC couldn't see their way clear to do mounting holes on the new one to match the holes on the old one. No excuse for this, as they made both of 'em and know exactly what needed to be done and there's plenty of room for the old and new holes on the same unit. I knew from reading the reviews that I'd better have a drill handy to install it, but it didn't need to be that way. Maybe they plan on selling a few extra units to replace one that smoke out from newbies drilling holes in a matter that the drill shavings get into the unit through cooling holes ;)

Disappointing Product
Very disappointed with this product, it was a exact swap out in our camper, purchased on May 12th of last year and is no longer functioning. I would have thought it would have lasted over 1 year.

Exact match to my 11 year old failed unit. ...
Exact match to my 11 year old failed unit. Took me 10 minutes to remove the old one and install the new one. Only issue I have is the instructions say use a 5/16 hex wrench to loosen and tighten the wires. Went and bought a 5/16 wrench and came home to discover it was really 5/32. Big difference here folks. I guess it was a typo. But after install everything is working perfectly again in the trailer.
