Made my thumb feel better
This is not just for Arthritis!I've had DeQuervain's Tendinitis (see "Nintendo Thumb) for quite a long time which made it impossible or extremely painful to do some pretty mundane things. My hand specialist recommended I get one of these and wear it for three weeks taking it off only to shower. It has not cured my situation, but I almost never wake up with pain in the mornings anymore and day-to-day activities are fine, mostly. It also doesn't get dank smelling and sweaty / uncomfortable like most wrist braces (such as those for carpal tunnel) do. You have complete hand freedom, thumb stabilization, and decent wrist movement if you need it (it's soft around the wrist). If I had a suggestion it would be regarding construction. The large size I ordered, the velcro barely marries the side it's supposed to cling to (luckily the whole material is pretty clingy so it's not a huge problem). I'm totally confident that a smaller size would be too small, however... therefore I feel like the "female" strip that goes down the length from the thumb to the forearm should probably be twice as wide so the rest of the fabric doesn't get torn up.Braces and splints like these do see a fair amount of wear and tear and should be considered as needing replacement periodically anyway, but a little more velcro could make these last twice as long.

It's good but "Therapist Choice wrist brace with thumb support" is ...
It's good but "Therapist Choice wrist brace with thumb support" is better at stabilizing my thumb/ wrist area because of tendonitis . I also bought Mueller for daytime because it's easier to maneuver with it on but ended up going back to Therapist Choice even during the day because Mueller wasn't supporti enough. I do use this thumb support when my Therapist Choice gets wet. This is actually better in instances when my hands may get wet because there is less coverage around the palm/top of hand area but then it has less support. I actually ended up buying another Therapist Choice because it was the best.

I developed trigger thumb from my crafting and this splint ...
I developed trigger thumb from my crafting and this splint really helped. I found it too bulky and restrictive to wear during the day while working, but would put it on at night and know that my thumb was really getting some recuperation time. During the day, I just wore stretchy athletic tape to slow movement, but not completely restrict it.

Uncomfortable and does not support properly
Arrived prompt and in good condition. The reason why I'm giving it two stars is because the product may work for another person but did not meet my needs. Bar across thumb and wrist is straight, going against the natural curvature of the wrist/hand and contorts hand into an unnatural position defeating the purpose and causing wrist discomfort.
