Small, but comfortable
I was looking for an armchair for my bedroom in my NYC apartment, and settled on this one. It's definitely on the small side, but it suits our needs just fine. It's fine for my boyfriend and I; we're both 5'6" and average size, but the sides of my thighs definitely touch the armrests when I'm sitting. (It's cozy.) If you are very tall, or perhaps a bit on the pleasantly plump side, you may want to look for a bigger chair. It's perfect for a smaller space...like any city apartment. The cushions are comfortable and the color is gorgeous - very true to the picture on screen. It's a nice, neutral oatmeal. There's no handle to recline the chair, but it's very easy to recline just by pushing back on the backrest.Assembly was a piece of cake. All you have to do is screw the legs on, then slide the top/backrest piece on the seat part. You don't need any tools. It took us longer to take it out of the box than it did to put it together.I've had a microfiber couch for years, and it cleans up really well. I don't know how this one will hold up - we just received it yesterday - but if our couch is any indication, it should be just fine.Shipping is fast and free (with prime). I can't believe we got this delivered for free! The price is obviously fantastic, but the free shipping really earns it that fifth star.Overall, it's perfect for us, but if you're a bit bigger, or looking for a chair that will swallow you up, you should probably choose something a little larger.

Good value for the price
I bought this chair because I had to replace all my upholstered living room furniture and couldn't afford an expensive recliner. It's well made, but the upholstery fabric is low-grade, although it's fairly comfortable. No problem getting it out of the box as long as you lift the box off rather than trying to lift the chair components out of the box. Easy assembly, provided you align the back slots precisely with the mechanism. It took me a few tries to get it aligned. The gears were very tight, so I oiled them with light machine oil, then was able to adjust the recliner. It's a smaller, light-weight recliner, which is fine for me because I'm not a very large person. All in all, I'm satisfied with this purchase. It's worth the price.

Great recliner for the price!
I was hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews but am very happy with this recliner. It definitely is slim. I am a 5 foot even, 154 lbs. female and fit snug in it side to side. This is due to the very full arms of this recliner. My head comes almost to the top of the back and the footrest ends at my heels. I would not recommend this item if you have small children who might decide to play on it. It was easy to put together. I screwed in the 4 legs which was under a minute, then someone helped me line up the track/grooves to simply slide in the back. I do recommend you have two people to put the back in as it is easier to align. Both sides need to go into place at the same time. When the back is in place you hear a definite 'click'. Final step is to attach the back flap to the Velcro. All in all 5 minutes to put together. The fabric is very nice and more of a taupe color. It is darker than pictured and soft. Putting it into the reclining position took some getting used to. It was stiff for the first 2 days but is getting easier now. Pushing further toward the back of the arms of the chair works best for me with arthritis. One warning for small pet owners. If you have a small dog or cat can it will fit right under the footrest when chair is reclined! Of course that is where my cat chose to lie down first time I reclined. Having other recliners I was watchful of this and coaxed her out so I could get up. The footrest would come down directly onto an animal. For the price, this is an excellent recliner for a small space.

Nice and Small
Yes, this is a small chair It's smaller than it looks in photo. If the hips are over 40", it will be too small. It's comfortable and well made. The ample arm rests takes up some of the seat room. The back has super cushioning and is very comfortable, too. I'm 5"5, and the back of chair comes about 2" above my head. Fully reclined my feet hang over the edge a few inches. I wish me feet didn't hang over, yet, it is a very comfortable chair to relax in while watching TV, eating or reading. For me, it is not comfortable for sleeping. This is a good all around recliner for a petite person. I bought it because I liked the price, and it is smaller than expected, but I don't regret buying it. It's kinda cute, comfortable and well made, looks good in the living room, and doesn't take up a lot of space. It will work for children. I wouldn't recommend for old people, unless they are very strong. My mom is 85. She strong, but she can't recline without a lot of difficulty. It's difficult to do it for your relative, because it hard to recline, if you aren't actually sitting in the chair. The chair has no lever for reclining. It's necessary to push back with force to get it to recline, and to use the calves forcefully to get it to un recline It was very easy to put together. Just attach the legs on bottom and slide the back onto the base of the chair. No hardware needed. The beige color is richer than shown. It's a toasty beige color with slight brown undertones.

Nope, not for me.
If this could be given zero stars, I would have done so. I understand that this chair was inexpensive, but I expected it to at least be decent looking and functional. The only reason I bought it (which is why cheaper was better) is because I wanted to get a recliner for temporary use for my mom-in-law after her knee replacement surgery. This chair was so dysfunctional, it wasn't even good for the four weeks we would have needed it. It did not go together well, the material was heinous, and it barely reclined. The only positive about it (maybe the one star is okay based on this) is that the return was easy. UPS came right to my house to pick up and I was refunded within a few days. If you do purchase this chair, keep the box intact when removing it so you can return it if desired. Perhaps I only got a bad unit and others are fine, but do keep the box. We had to strap it back in with a whole roll of tape for the return because my husband ripped it.

Perfect comprise chair
Perfect comprise chair. My husband wanted a recliner but I didn’t want a typical bulky recliner chair. Very soft microfibre, easy to put together. I only gave it 4 stars as the back is the sturdiest and has to be adjusted sometimes

Two Stars
Returned since puffy arms (inside surfaces) prevented my wife from obtaining a full reclined position.
