I wanted a daypack that had the sleeve in the back panel to slide over the handle of my rolling luggage. I also needed a bag that would be tough. I've been using a Mountain Hardware daypack and it was very strong and has withstood hard use for several years. When the Eagle Creek pack arrived, I wasn't sure if it would be up to the task. But I've just returned from three weeks in Europe and I'll have to say this pack was perfect. It's lighter than the Mountain Hardware pack, just as strong or stronger, and had plenty of storage for my needs. I was in charge of a group of 20 people so I'm carrying a MacBook Air, a camera or two, a large folder of forms, rain jacket, and more. It was carried on my back, tossed up in storage racks on trains, smashed under the seat ahead of me during the flights over and back. I also loved the stowaway rain cover included that came in handy a couple of times. Eagle Creek stands by their products and that was another good reason to have this pack. This is definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Zippers fell apart after less than two years

Very disappointed that the zipper to the main compartment would fail on a backpack this expensive.
