Does it hang on the wall?

Yes, but the wall-hanging feature is comprised of a separate plate and screws that you must attach to the back of the frame yourself. I was all thumbs trying to do this with such a small metal plate and tiny screws, but was helped by my husband who is handier with a screwdriver than I. It now hangs nicely on the wall.
