Hyde 28440 40-Inch Pivot Nozzle Universal Pressure Washer Wand

Received the spray unit. Got all the connections to adapt to my Generac sprayer. Didn't need it right a way, so no testing. The need occurred to use it, So I hooked it up started the unit and the swivel end broke off as soon as water pressure reached it. A casting piece was faulty! I emailed Distributor by Amazon. A day later I received an email asking if I'd like cash back or a replacement. Within a week my replacement arrived along with a return UPS label for the defective unit. The new one worked great. Super Product, service was excellent!

Didn't know this items existed until I stumbled on it while surfing Amazon. Kinda looked like a one or two use item. Called that wrong. This is high quality, heavy duty piece of equipment. Light weight and easy to use. Adds much flexibility to any job. It has already saved me a good amount of time. Good fitting handle and less effort on the body. You'll like it.

Pros:- Price $20, for ~8 hours in April- DurableCons:- Only swivels 45°- Swivel control in wrong place- Control handle interferes with the ladderGot this to wash my log rails and balusters prior to staining. Got sucked into the 90° swivel which is a lie, 90° is the included angle, not the center-to-side angle. Talk about "market speak." As a result I had to get high on a ladder to wash the back side.The swivel control needs to be co-axial with the shaft and at least a foot long so you can adjust your hand placement to resist the spray torque.This product redeemed itself when I started pressure washing my logs, the 45° swivel was adequate but it was very difficult to precisely control the spray position with one hand on the swivel control. Every log required at least three different angle settings but I always wanted my control hand a foot forward of the swivel control. Since I did most of the washing from a ladder, the handle was constantly bumping into the ladder. A co-axial swivel control would have been the "cats meow!"For trivial stuff like car wheel wells this layout is fine. But for serious washing where multiple tanks of gas are required the swivel design could be a lot better. As to staying dry, no hope. I wore nylon pants, water proof boots and a rain parka, every time the jet went into a log corner, I was soaked.

It works (you may need to get a trigger in addition) BUTbecause of the thrust when the tip is rotated, this think could beat you to death fast! = not safe for 99% of us (Includes me)I use it and it allows some addition angles which are nice, but I can not let anyone else use it, in fear that they could hurt them selfs very badly.This wand has a kickback on the fore handle of 30# + on my 4000PSI machine, which if you slip off the front handle it starts to rotate very very fast and could hit you in the head for a full KO. If you lose grip on the front handle the force at the trigger is over 120ft Lb's of torque which you can not stop from rotating, and is hard to let go of because you are tring to stop it from rotating which means you hold the trigger as tight as possible.the 3 stars are for good quality and is useful, but be very very very careful!!!it can really hurt you.

Thought this would be the be all to all wands but it's not. Does not do ninety degrees in either direction more like 45° left/right and then straight on. There's a pivot tip you might want to checkout.

I'm not sure why this product has changed. This is the 5th one I've ordered in 4 yrs. It is now about 4" longer on the attachment end and it is not the same attachment either. It is cumbersome and hard to use. Really bummed about this because I have come to rely heavily on this product.

Works as advertised ,makes pressure washing a lot easier by taking the pressure off your back when doing overhead washing. Very easy to work with and simple to use. The quality is very good and should last a long time.

This is the perfect tool for cleaning odd-shaped stuff like high and low log cabin walls and the underside of vehicles. It does not have a shutoff valve. I added a ball valve and foot of pipe to the supply end which gives it better balance that counteracts nozzle thrust.
