Dressed for Success
Big fan of 5.11, Tac Lite Pro pants in particular.Wanted a less combat looking pair for those times when interfacing with customers (engineering, manufacturing environment). These are a great looking pair of pants, with a couple of downsides.First, I really like the cut. A bit slimmer (less baggy) that the Tac Lite. Has an expanding/stretch (they call it tunnel) waistline, which gives you a nice, neat fit around the waist with feeling restrictive, overly tight. Length seems just a smidge longer even with them riding up a bit higher.Waist is smaller than a comparable Tasc Lite, this might be a function of that tunnel waistline. Size difference is that much smaller that you'd need to go up a size, but its noticeable.Biggest downside to me is the closure. Button. I'd have much preferred the snap we have on the Tac Lite. Compounding that, another button on the inside, but with the snugger waist it's a bit more difficult to utilize. I'd have been happier with a hook.Overall, I'm happy with them though. They're what I was looking for, with the same 5.11 quality / longevity (hopefully). Paired with my Tactical TacLite Professional Long Sleeve Tall EDC Shirt mI'm sure I cut a dashing figure (ha)

Woot! A nice alternative to more traditional brands!
My old standby for pants and jeans went political (I don't want politicians in my pants) so it was time for a change.I found 5.11 and they rock. These pants are a little heavier duty than my typical business casual attire. But they wash well and resist wrinkles great. And they are very appropriate for the office. Fit is slightly tighter than the bigger branded pants but the expandable waist easily absorbs the results of last night's pizza feast for cheat day... week... month (ok shutup). They feature a magazine pocket hidden in each thigh. There are zippered so a little zipper pull dongle subtly hangs on each side. A scrutinizing eye might notice but I don't think it will come up on your next review.I do not know if these would print. But the slightly heavier fabric and expandable waist can only help in preventing issues related to that.I'd buy these again.

Professional looking, solid construction and rugged. Just what a field tech needs.
I love these pants. This is my 6th pair of these 5.11 Men's Covert 2.0 pants, since I keep one for each workday and one spare. I have them in both Black and Khaki.I have put these pants through the ringer and they have survived and continued looking good when other work grade pants have ended up looking worn or no longer looking appropriate for professional wear.Excellent construction. Cargo benefit without the "cargo pant" look. Others in my company have tried other "non-cargo" cargo-ish pants and been told to "leave them at home". I started wearing these, and one of the senior staff was blown away and now tells people that if they need an additional pocket for tools or pens that does not show to go with these. Only approved "cargo" slacks in three companies that I interact with. Before this, the only other people I saw wearing these were DoD professionals or contractors.Another great product from 5.11 Tactical.

Worth every penny
I wear these pants to work and basically alternate 2 pairs every other work day. I’ve worn the same two pairs for going on 3 years, 9 to 15 hours at a time and they’ve held up extremely well. The front pockets are large enough for a small 380 or 9 in a pocket holster, though a 9 will print. My black pair is starting to wear on the left knee and the khaki pair has a small hole in side of the pocket which could be patched pretty easily since it’s not visible. That’s pretty impressive consider the abuse these pants take on long shifts scraping against shelves, banging against steel safes, and kneeling every few minutes.

Good for most office wear
For comparison: I have a pair of TruSpec 24x7 "covert"-style pants, which I was pretty happy with in general. These I like more, in most important regards. As noted by others, these are more office-like in cut and style. The cut is roomy and allows for movement, so I think they should be good for active roles where you need to still look sharp. The 'hidden' pockets are larger than those on the TruSpecs -- they leave a little more room when I put in my large phone on one side and a 3x5 moleskine on the other.Pocket, belt loop and button treatments are very conventional.Re. lint: As others have commented, the texture of this fabric causes it to collect a lot of lint and cat hair. That will probably improve with washing, but you may just need to buy a lighter color or carry a lint roller in your car.

Excellent pants
Very nice pants. Anything made by 5.11 is going to be good. Fit is right on (don’t order longer inseam than you need). Zip pockets are large and discreet. No, you’re not going fit the Glock in there. They look somewhat like dress pants, but the over-stitching on the belt loops gives them a work pant look – beware if you are required to wear dress pants. But at least they don’t look like cargo pants or BDUs.My only complaint is the color. They aren’t khaki – they have almost a silvery purple tint to them. They don’t look like the image, and they definitely don’t look like Dockers, if that’s the color you want. This is not the seller’s fault – it’s the color 5.11 chose.

Will buy again.
Pockets are deep, design is comfortable, although they do get very warm in summer. Side pocket fit my full sized screwdriver and a box opener, though sometimes the weight of my extra tools causes the pockets to flop around against my leg while walking. The side zippers aren't really bad as some people say, but a little difficult to operate with one hand. I've only had issues with the pockets coming inside out with the rear pocket attaching to an already "sticky" rubber casing on a phone. Otherwise, no issues.I refused to spend more than $30 on a pair of pants, but these should last longer than my others, and are professional enough for me to wear on the job without getting in trouble. Plus, I can carry all my tools in the side pockets, which was my primary concern.

Ideal for the Security Industry . .
Had these for a year now, and despite often wearing them 5 or 6 nights a week, and washing them frequently, they are still as good as new!! I have these and the tac-lite cargo style, and they are both equally hard wearing, comfortable, and smart. I work in security, and have previously gone through so many pairs of trousers due to seams splitting, holes in the knees, pockets wearing through etc etc. These are, in my view, the ultimate trousers for durability, comfort and looking smart (the covert trousers look smart enough to wear with shirt and tie when required).I would strongly recommend anyone to spend the bit extra on these, rather than buying cheaper, inferior types which need replacing every couple of months . . . I'll update in another year!!

Love these pants
Love these pants. I can use karate in them without worrying about the fabric or hems. They fit slightly loose compared to the 1.0 version, "courtroom pants."

Excelente opción
La marca nunca me ha decepcionado. Es lo que esperaba, eso sí, este modelo viene un poco más ajustado, pero sigue siendo la misma Talla que requiero.

Good fit, well made.
I quite like these pants - they fit well, they look decent, and they're well made. Only gripe is the poly-cotton fabric feels and looks a bit cheap up close. Not an issue unless you look closely.
