Microwave oven and grill is excellent however I personally prefer and physical button to press for the door release as was the old model

My AEG combi microwave stopped working for the second time in 7 years (first time it was under a year old).I thought by using AEG’s fixed price repair service I’d get a reliable and trustworthy service. HOW WRONG I WAS!When I called to book the repair I was asked the exact details of appliance (model, serial number). I was also asked exactly what the problem was. This was all logged. I then had to pay £140 in advance for the repair.When the repair person came they didn’t even inspect the combi microwave in any way. Instead they checked the serial number and asked what the problem was. They then announced both the combi microwave and necessary part were discontinued and so couldn’t be repaired. WHY WASN’T I TOLD THIS WHEN I GAVE THE EXACT SAME DETAILS WHEN I CALLED TO BOOK THE APPOINTMENT!I have subsequently been refunded £70 but they’ve kept the additional £70 for a call out fee!My three emails to them to raise a complaint have been ignored. When I’ve called their contact number I wait an average half an hour before someone answers, logs what I say and then does PRECISELY NOTHING!If I only had known how awful this ‘service’ was going to be I’d have AVOIDED IT LIKE THE PLAGUE!
