Not actually a pressure RELIEF valve, more like a pressure BYPASS valve. I bought this so that my RO system would have an emergency pressure relief valve in case the pump or pressure switch malfunctioned, to discover that this unit will bypass some of the water/pressure at ANY set point. This made it so my system would not hold pressure with this unit installed. I ended up using an o-ring inside the unit under the seat, and now it will hold pressure.Otherwise, this is a high quality item and it looks well constructed. I think it should be sold as a bypass valve though.

This is NOT a pressure relief valve and will not function as one. False advertising, or stupidity, either way this piece of junk is useless. A true pressure relief valve will only pass water when the pressure get ABOVE the cut off setting. This peice of junk leaks water through all the time. Useless piece of junk. Also, it does nt go up to anywhere near 150 PSI. About 60 max.Also, if you try to return it you will have to pay return shipping. Amazons warranty does NOT apply. Be warned.

It works well to adjust back pressure with in the 0-150PSI range. The nob is easy to turn and use. my only negative is due to the oversize handle and back pressure port the only way to mount this is by the inlet or outlet piping. For my use I have flexible tubing so there is not an easy way to mount it.
