Breaking The Chains of Financial Slavery
Dave Ramsey does it again! The average American spends an incredible amount of money on interest bacause of debt. After reading this book, it has completely restructured my thinking on debt. Now I am evaluating the debt that I have and using Dave Ramsey's strategies to eliminate it. I analyzed my mortage as directed in Dave Ramsey's book. Surprisingly, I spent $12,000 last year in mortgage interest, with only $1,200 going toward the principle. The lessons learned in this book has helped me and my family to make a plan to eliminate my debt. My family has already reduced our debt tremendously. Thank you so much Dave Ramsey for teaching us how to become free from debt! I strongly recommend all of Dave's books.

Good buy. If possible buy total makeover which is a better deal . This came with one cd vs the whole system

A must read for all!!!
This book is great for people who are in debt to teach them how to get out of debt, as well as for teens, college students and young adults or older adults who are not yet in debt to teach them the dangers of debt and encourage them to continue to avoid debt. I would also recommend Glenn Becks: Broke which demonstrates the rampant problem debt is becoming to our country from the top down.

Good information, poor quality
The information on the CD was good but the quality of the CD was terrible. The last few tracks of the CD had a deep scratch and skipped badly.

Get ready for an enthusiastic jump start on paying off your debt.
Ok, from some of my other reviews you may have noticed that I have fallen head first into Dave Ramsey's take on paying off debt and staying debt free. This lesson is no exception, although it's probably THE lesson to get you moving toward your own debt-free phone call to the Dave Ramsey show. How cool will that be?This lesson is #4 of 13 in the Financial Peace University classes. I highly reccomend just taking the whole course instead of buying the lessons individually, but that's up to you.Dave starts out calmly explaining how to line up your debts and get them paid off. He explains the importance of interest rates (none) and how to put your debts in order to pay things off. He uses visual aids during the course that you won't get on the CD, BUT you don't really need them because he starts to get so animated vocally that it really draws you in.The first time I went through Financial Peace University, it was listening to a friend's CDs from the course. I got on board and paid off my husband's car, my car and Visa. Then I purchased the DVD set to show any of my friends who were interested because everyone becomes interested when you are suddenly winning with money. I almost found watching it to be a distraction!Don't get me wrong, I am a very visual person and I hate books on tape, but when you are ready to win, this definatly works!
