Well Worth the Installation Effort
Works as specified with the Signal Dynamics Wiring Harness. Both units were installed on a Goldwing trike following the instructions. The tough part was running the harness through the fairing area, mostly because there us limited area to work unless you remove a significant amount of the fairing cover. I was able to do it with only the storage boxes removed and using the access area around the triple tree. Tough but not impossible. Patience, persistence, manual dextarity and neosporin for minor cuts and scrapes helps.

Works good, just wish I could tell when it was on or off
I've had two different modulators...this on by Signal Dynamics and one by Kisan. I prefer the Kisan design because that one works by turning on your bright beams during the day, and then shuts off when you switch back to normal lights. At night it is disabled by law, as the SD one is. The SD modulator turns on when you first put your key into power on status, and then is shut off by quickly switching your lights from bright back to normal. The trouble with that design is I never know if my modulator is on or not. If I see a reflector in a car, I can sometimes tell. But I like being able to know if my lights are flashing or not, in case I want to ensure they are not. Other than that, the SD design is easy to install and works as advertised. I just prefer the Kisan function better.

It works great. I love the ability to turn off whenever ...
I have had this on 3 other bikes so when I bought my Suzuki Burgman 650 I ordered the flasher and the adapter cable. It works great. I love the ability to turn off whenever you want. It literally took 30 minutes to install and most of that was removing panels and putting them back on.

They stand behind their products
I have three of these. I know 100% that they work to make poor drivers see you, I have countless examples of people doubletaking and then braking when they should have all along. Recently my oldest unit stopped working after 6 years, and wouldn’t you know it, someone looked right at me, failed to yield and pulled directly into my path in a traffic circle. I was able to avoid hitting them but as soon as I got home I contacted Signal Dynamics via their website and explained that the unit had stopped working. The very next morning I got an email stating to send the unit back to them for testing/repair/replacement, they didn’t even ask for a receipt. Cost me $4.50 to mail it. Five days later I had a brand new unit sent to me free of charge ready to be plugged back in and it’s working great again. I can’t say enough good things about this modulator and especially about this company and their customer support. Get one, it may save your life.

Defective
Did not work on my motorcycle. Modulates randomly and low beam does not work at all when disabled. Tried moving sensor around. Purchased this to ride safer, returning immediately

Worked good for a month
This was an easy install but it started to be fickle about a month after install. Now when I ride it works for a while on high beam, then it stops modulating and I have to switch to low beam and toggle my flashers to get it to work again (good thing head lights stay on and work). I feel like this module will not last very long.I sure love the modulation when it works.

Excellent safety feature
This and the necessary harness (Signal Dynamics Adapter Harness 1083) are now installed on my 2009 Piaggio Fly 150 scooter. Follow the manual instructions for your particular cycle or scooter to access the headlight bulb (mine was the single H-4 type). The rest just involves plugging in the various components and positioning the small sensor light that shuts the unit off in darkness. The Piaggio has loads of room for the plugs and wiring, and a stickey pad is supplied to secure the module so it doesn't rattle around. When I am out riding, the alternating headlight really seems to get other drivers attention. Here in the Pacific Northwest we have weather and tree-shadowing conditions that often make a 2-wheeler hard to see in certain situations. I regard this as an excellent safety feature, fully recommend it, and have already ordered another for my other bike.My only caveat is that if the space behind the headlight on your particular bike/scooter is small or non-existent, you might have to get a little creative in placing the module and wiring after you get everything hooked up.Addendum 11-7-15: I now have this on every bike I ride. I can't count the number of times I have had drivers give me a second look and not pull out or make a left turn in from of me.
