Everything Is Waiting for You Paperback – January 1, 2003

I love the cover. Exquisite writing with strong evocative imagery. Some of the most beautiful yet approachable poems I have ever read. Strongly recommend. It is really worth it to get the book to enjoy the flow of the poetry from one section to the next. Vs. just a collection that includes some of the poems from this book.

I loved the words in this book by David Whyte. I bought this after hearing him interviewed on the On Being podcast and was not at all disappointed. His words paint a picture and many emotions as he gently draws you into the present moment.

Whyte speaks to the heart which is wired for thought which makes me feel that he is silently speaking to me.

Timing of this book was amazing. A mother's death...he captures so completely what people feel and instantly recognize.Available to all readers. If you know someone dragging their feet to open a book of poetry - any David Whyte may change theirminds. A truly life-changing writer.

I was first exposed to Everything Is Waiting For You, the poem itself, as recited by David Whyte himself and it transformed my outlook on life. I am slowly reading through this work and liking it.

I love David Whyte's poetry and the only reason I'm not giving it a 5 star has more to do with my expectations than his poetry. I wasn't expecting this to be about dying. I should have figured it out from the title but I thought it would be a more upbeat book about believing in yourself. Having said that, there are poems I want read when I die. It is beautiful
