Comfortable
When I first wore the shoe I can feel the quality. Ladies, buy the men's size shoes. You will feel the difference. Remember that men are the ones out there the most so their shoes has 100% quality. Our's are too much for looks and heels. Like really? Heels? On uneven grounds? (Just an example) in any case, this shoe looks professional and very comfortable once you break it in. It took me a week to break it in. I have to switch shoes and wear it on and off because it was hurting the back of my heels. Remember the key word, BREAK IT IN, and it's comfortable. It will feel a bit bigger because remember that guys feet and bigger and longer than ours so you might think the ankle doesn't line up which is true because these are men's shoes. Once I broke it in, it just feels like boots to me. I recommend stepping on the back of the shoes to break the tough fibers more. Flex it back and forth. Remember to buy the inside soles. You will feel the difference between heaven and a mere mortal.

Surprisingly comfortable
I have a wide foot coupled with a very high instep. I good, tough oxford for outdoor work and hiking is pretty much impossible to find for my foot in women’s shoes. The only exception in the past has been the Propet Snow Walker - a waterproof oxford ankle boot that was fantastically comfortable and warm. But, those have been discontinued so I started my hunt. Because of my very wide foot, I often have to turn to men’s shoes, but oxfords are very hard to find.Well, I came upon this shoe while searching Timberland’s site. I wanted black and needed a 7.5 in wide (I usually wear a 9-9.5 X-wide in women’s shoes). I was a little hesitant about the alloy toe as I was afraid the shoe would be impossibly stiff and clunky to wear. I remember my husband’s steel-toe shoes from his days in P&G’s paper factory in Pennsylvania - those were total clunkers and so clumsy for him to wear. Getting my foot in was a little snug, but once I had them on and tied, what a pleasant surprise! Unlike so many men’s shoes, these do not press down on my instep, the toe box provides a good fit without cramming my toes together, and they were comfortable to walk in right out of the box. I only wish the black came in X-Wide like the oiled brown ones do. These are fine, but extra width is always appreciated by my oddball feet. I haven’t gotten outside yet in these, but have been wearing them around the house for 6 hours now - up and down stairs, sitting, standing, moving from room to room - and they feel as comfortable as my running shoes (just stiffer in the toe box). These are certainly keepers.

Spendy for how fragile they are.
If you sneeze too hard with them on they will scuff.. I've scuffed them just tying my shoes. No joke. I am disappointed because they look so nice, first day I had the fronts all scuffed up from minor contact with like the bottom of the counter tops and what not. I think this will be my fist and last time buying Timberlands.

Best boot I’ve had so far…
First off, the boot does take some time to break in and get used to - especially around the ankle. Most of the bad reviews were people who probably didn’t give it time to break in. I dealt with the discomfort for around 2 weeks and when it really annoyed me I’d wear thicker socks or loosen up the shoelaces. They haven’t bothered my ankles in months since they’ve broken in.I also had to remove the inserts and carefully re-insert them because the right one wasn’t in far enough and felt odd under my heel.Aside from that they are a 5 star boot. They are very lightweight and felt more like a steel toe sneaker in weight than a leather boot. I do a lot of crouching down to work on equipment at my work and I was struggling to find a steel toe that for one, bent well at the toe with no resistance, and that had a steel toe that wouldn’t dig into the top of my foot whilst it was bent. This checked both of those.I work in a factory so going on a couple months they’ve held up fine. They do get wet sometimes and it doesn’t seem to hurt the leather. They’re a bit bulkier than they appear in the picture but not too bad.Give them a shot. Let them break in for a few weeks to a month before you give up on them. I’ll probably buy another pair when these have worn.

Comfortable
These are the most expensive and the most comfortable work shoes I have ever owned. The last cheaper pair I owned exhibited such severe insole degradation after 1 year that they were causing painful bunions to develop. If these hold up longer-term I will be happy. I expect they will.

A bit expensive
Timberland should have $100 safety shoes. The quality is decent.

luxury safety shoe,
As a luxury safety shoe for your daily construction site visit, I should say Design &Quality are great! it looks like a part of your foot when you walking. these are not heavy at all like CATERPILLAR and these are very flexible. but I do not recommend it for the concrete job! it is better to wear rubber safety shoes instead of leather ones.

There okay
These are good shoes. But. They scuff so easily. And it’s already chipping in the toe area. The fit is not bad. Comfort is good.

Super comfortable
I have only been wearing these for 3 days. Super comfortable. Usually i have to break a boot in for a week before it reaches the comfort zone 10/10 but these are nice so far.
