Beautiful film score and poetry from the classic film.

Don't be put off by the negative comments judge for yourdelf as I did. I found this by accident looking for some romantic music for my lady and that is exactly what I found. Now I need to see the film. The music conjures up such a feeling, relax listen and enjoy. Imagine moonlight skys, the sea gently lapping along the shoreline,candlelit dinners with the one you love. This will leave you with a warm feeling and if not then you will not know romance. The poetry is warm sensitive and well read, a bonus to the CD.

We love this CD. An added bonus is the many poems read by talented stars that transfix you with their readings. We hadn't paid attention to the fact that this CD included the poems. Glad to have them and definitely recommend to others.

I especially like the first part of the disc, as it has Neruda's poems red by a number of movie stars. I was not familiar with Neruda and his poetry, and all the poems the people read is on a website, so you can read along. the music is wonderful, and has accordion playing, it sounds hokey, but it really isn't. To me it evokes the 1950's.

The poetry from Pablo Neruda and music from the heart just keeps me playing the CD over and over and over again.

I recently rented the movie Il Postino and fell in love with it! The music, the poetry, the story, all opened my eyes to a whole new interest in the Italian culture. It's wonderful because in addition to the movie soundtrack, the CD has more than 12 poems recited by actors with the music from the movie playing in the background.

The video Il Postino was delightful but the music is just fabulous!!! I ordered the CD and it arrived very quickly. Included with the music from the movie was a collection of poems written by Pablo Neruda and read by well known actors.A perfect purchase!!

One of my favorite soundtracks of all time. Accompanied by poetry - you either love that or you don't. Famous actors recite poems by Pablo Neruda, accompanied by lilting Italian music. For romance it just doesn't get any better than that.

Il Postino is one of my favourite films, although I break my heart every time I watch it, i love the story, the music and who could not love Massimo. When I finally found the soundtrack on Amazon I was delighted, on reading the reviews I decided to purchase the edition that also includes Pablo Neruda s poems, it is truly delightful.
