Does the spout close? Or is it up all the time

It's open all the time. But there is a rubber stopper that is inserted in the spout so that water only come out when the child drinks. However, if your child likes to turn it upside down and shake it, liquid will leak out of it.

Is there a replacement lid available?

Nalgene does not have this lid specifically as a replacement. But they do have others. And they have a lifetime replacement warranty. No questions asked.

Do these cups fit in a standard car seat cup holder?

Yes, at least they fit in all the cup holders for our car seats/boosters.

The info on this cup DOES NOT say it is BPA free. Other styles are BPA free. Is this just an oversight on the description?

Ive bought a bunch of these. They came with a sticker on them stating they are BPA free. Also, the Nalgene site says they are: http://store.nalgene.com/product-p/grip%20n%20gulp.htm
