Be sure you have the front grease drain.
Fits and works ok. I have the rear grease drain and the cover is made for the front drain model. I have made a couple of modifications and it works fine.

Instructions/parts are not correct
The instructions and installation parts (for a newer Blackstone - front drip pan) are NOT correct. First off, the instruction imply re-using the four (4) "pre-installed" nuts and bolts on the rear. Not going to happen. They are "rivets" not bolts with nuts. You "could" drill them out, however, the bracket on each side already has an additional two holes for the rivet nuts to sit after using the OTHER two holes with the four (4) supplied bolts and nuts. UNFORTUNATELY, the two bolt that attaches the cover to the bracket have large dome shape nuts which when you try to re-insert the heavy griddle, the nuts prevents the pan from seating in the four holes. I ended up "bending" the brackets outward enough to get the griddle back on but it sorta looks stupid and the nuts will forever be "jammed" into the griddle. After re-thinking what I did, I've decided to make another modification by replacing the "dome shaped" nuts with flat nuts. That should buy me an extra 1/8" which will minimize the nut's being jammed against the pan and possibly allow me to re-straighten the brackets a bit. I might even try a shorter bolt or add a couple washers.

Perfect
Put in on my black stone grill. Just a few miner adjustment and it was on. Still working great.

DOES NOT FIT!
Unlike some other reviewers, I don't have a problem with the material thickness, the finish or the design BUT... IT DOES NOT FIT! My cover arrived a little twisted, which I easily rectified. Thankfully, it wasn't dented or out of square. Unfortunately, the cover doesn't fit correctly. The cover is too short and as a result, the front lip of the griddle plate prevents the cover from closing correctly. I must either grind the feet of the griddle to move it back, otherwise, I must redrill the holes at the hinge to move the cover forward. BOTH solutions are unappealing to me.Another thing that irked me was that there are no fasteners supplied with this cover. The installation instructions tell you to reuse the fasteners on the back of the griddle but there are no fasteners to reuse?! My griddle was 100% assembled with pop-rivets so there are no fasteners to reuse - I had to buy whole packs of screws, washers and nuts, from Lowes just to use 4 of each.I would've sent it back but I took too long to install it. :-(

It fits and covers cooking surface.
It was less expensive than some. Thermometer is cheap, but it fits and covers my flatop! It works for what I needed.

Good Fit for Blackstone 17 Inch Griddle
I bought the 17 inch Blackstone griddle, and wanted a lid. I ordered the Blackstone model and this model to see the difference. Based on my inspection, they were almost identical, except the Blackstone model has the logo stamped on the top. But the Cookingstar had screws for the part where the lid pivots to open and close. This means if the screws break or fall off, you can easily replace with another screw. The Blackstone lid had rivets, which of they fell off or broke, you would simply drill out and replace with a screw. I chose this one as it was much cheaper. It works great on the griddle.
