Expensive but effective
Short review: expensive for what it is. I needed to apply two coats. But it does seem to work where other products have failed.Detailed review: we have decorative gravel borders at the front of the house. Unfortunately neighbours’ cats use this area as an extended litter tray. I am out there every few days scraping the stuff up and it isn’t a pleasant task. Plus I have had to throw away more and more of the gravel over time. I tried numerous cat repellent products, none of it worked, even the ‘extra strength’ compound that smelt nearly as bad as the stuff it was supposed to prevent.Because I’d had to throw so much gravel away, I had it all relaid and was determined not to go through the same cycle again so tried the Vuba solution.Firstly, I think this is very expensive for what it is. A 5 litre drum costs £50, I bet it doesn’t cost them anything like £10 a litre to manufacture. It comes ready to apply, no need to dilute it or anything like that. I used a simple hand-pump garden sprayer to apply, followed the instructions, it was easy to use. No nasty solvent/chemical smell and it was easy to wash off my hands afterwards. Applied first coat in dry conditions, waited 24 hours, it didn’t seem to completely hold, some of the gravel was still loose (this may be because the gravel borders are deep in places). Gave it a second application, waited another 24 hours and this seemed to do it, really strong hold on the shingle this time. It dries with a nice sort of matt varnish effect. It has now been down for a week and it has done the trick, it has bonded the shingle so we’ll that it is solid and now can’t be dug up by the cats and there has not been any mess at all to clear up. Just what I was after. It only remains to be seen how long it lasts when exposed to weather over the course of the year (not sure how it will hold up to baking sun, rain, frost etc but we will see).

Excellent but use in a spay bottle for best results.
This stuff is excellent if used properly. I brought a different brand of this last week and tried the watering can method which was a massive fail. You barely cover any area because it just saturates a small spot so I ordered this one and thought I would try a different way. I added the solution to a small spray bottle and agitated the bark whist spraying and then sprayed over it again and compacted it as much as I could. This really does do the trick and that bottle then goes a very long way. It is a lot more time consuming this way but that bottle has covered the whole of my garden edging with some left to spare even after 2nd coat. It also makes your bark look fresh by giving it a wet look so even if your bark is old and lost its colour this really brightens it up. 10/10 for the product but it is a pain trying to get it out into the spray bottle 😂

Good but very expensive
Why did you choose this product over others?:Good product but only giving it three stars as it is very expensive. It has a similar consistency to milk so it is a must to use a fine sprayer pressure bottle and to apply it in warm weather (summer time). Otherwise, you will spend a massive amount. With the sprayer a single coat (1 x 5L bottle) covered 3mx3m= 9m2. You will need three coats. I applied it initially in colder weather and it did not work. For 9m2 I have used in total 7 bottles, although with 3 bottles it could do if applied in summer and with a sprayer.I have tried to replicate the product cheaper using SBR bond 5L bottle mixed 1/1 with water and I got acceptable results, but not as solid. However, that was much cheaper.I am a bit concerned that there is not a chemical composition of the product in the bottle. How can we be sure it is safe to use long term as it is possible to breath some in while spraying it?We will see how it last through the seasons.

Works well, stuck my stones really well. Happy customer!!
The media could not be loaded. Amazing product when you get a good knack going.I used it for a little border area next to my patio slabs as I have a dog and she likes to dig, lol!The way I used it was -1. Mix a bowl of stones with some of the "glue" until they are all covered and then spoon the covered stones into a thin layer to the area you want them - but don't pour any of the liquid on top, just the covered stones.2. Wait an hour and add another thin layer if needed. Repeat this step until you have the depth you want.3. Wait an hour then spray a layer of liquid over the whole area.4. Every couple of hours spray the area again with the liquid - 3-4 times.5. Wait about 12 hours and it's done.

Nightmare with 2 gallons.
This stuff is awful. I had two gallons and emptied both gallons into a backpack sprayer. Literally 2 seconds in and its stops spraying. I empty the solution and it is full of lumps which has clogged up and ruined my backpack sprayer as well as wasted £72 of my money. See the picture of some of the congealed lumps that were in the solution. The other two gallons that I had were fine and had no lumps in them and sprayed fine onto the gravel. Amazon were ace as ever and refunded me for the first two.

Exceeded expectations, no more scattered gravel
I bought a year ago and procrastinated about application while waiting for a suitable weather window. The recent heatwave provided that and I got on with it. Spray application to rough 10-20mm granite chips between paving slabs, two coats 72 hours apart as per instructions. I masked the edges of the slabs. The ‘glued’ stones have exceeded my expectations, being firmly in place and not shifting when stepped on. No more scattered gravel! Top tips: it takes a little while for overspray to set - dog paws act as little mops; don’t be tempted to prod the stones to see how well they are setting - they were firm about 24 hours after application but not set until 2 days later; the second coat doesn’t take as much product, but makes a huge difference. Wish I’d done it sooner!

Great product providing better walking surface
Works really well in binding together gravel and decorative stones. Make sure you follow the instructions regarding application, especially weather conditions and coverage.
