I really love this hood visibility amazing and it's three mode selection buttons make it great for multiple tasks like grinding, shade 5 for cutting, and then your welding, Down side is the plastic is not very tough the the fractional weight reduction from standard Jackson Safety hoods, but the design is better.

Does fantastic with MIG or stick. However, when TIG welding, it tends to flash you. It's very annoying. Also, with my garage door slightly cracked open, can only turn the sensitivity to 4, which hurts performance eve more.Don't get me wrong, it's a good hood, just not worth the price tag IMO. There are many, many others that can do the job easier, and much better.

this is the one you want if you need a large view port like I do. the controllers inside the helmet are good and it is very light. the sensors seem to be in the proper places, because I have not had a flash from it turning off.

nice lense system, but hood is not as good as the older model, and the head gear is pretty lame.

Love the multiple modes (and that it's just black without obnoxious graphics), just a student welder so it hasn't been worked too hard just spring 2016 semester and over the summer practice. Battery life seems really good, I left it on the whole time when I did weld and it still shows full. Got the speedglass 2x mag. fits with just enough friction in that large view area to let me slide it up if not needed or anywhere in the view field if I, or the weld is in an awkward position.

Best hood I've ever owned. The giant lens in it is awesome, I can clearly see what I'm welding and everything around it. In grind and cut modes it works perfect, jut the right amount of shade to not hurt my eyes but still see clearly. Headgear is really comfortable and never catches my hair when tightening, has an auto adjust feature that puts just enough tension to keep it securely on my head, but not overtighten. Highly recommend this hood to anyone.

This true sight auto darkening only lasted 2 years . probably used it 10 times. You must have receipt. or haveregistered it . I just wasted over $300.00 on a something that didn't last. Not happy with my choices of helmet . 😒

Ive got alot of praise for this great welding hood.....GREAT HEADGEAR, AWESOME CLARITY, GREAT COVERAGE, AAA batteries and ive found the outer lens covers can be substiuted with any cheap square lens using the older style square rubber gasket with no mods.....sweet since my job supplies them for us for free.....radnor brand rectangular covers saving you 4 bucks a pop.... see everything around your weld and way less eyestrain
