This game is so well made and is super fun, but may take some getting used to with the rules

A no brainer for a fan of Undaunted.
The rules of the base game have held true, and it will feel familiar and homey for those of you who enjoyed the first iteration. There's a few new rules in this edition, mainly to do with vehicles and structures. Some of the new infantry can demolition buildings which requires actually getting to the same tile as the structure they are going to demolish. Doing so gains you VP for objectives.Vehicles are now in the horizon as well, although the first scenario eases you in and does not involve any moving units. The vehicles can be attacked and damaged, but can also be repaired, which is very cool and thematic. They can also help to move units around the map, and they've given very relaxed rules about entering and exiting the vehicle during a turn so as not to let that aspect bog down the game.As for luck...?If you didnt like the dice aspect of the first game, you wont like this one either. Personally (and my game buddies and I are all low luck euro players) we dont find the dice to be that big of a drawback. Can it be swingy from dice? Sure, some games feel "Dirty" due to one player rolling really well while the other rolls really poorly. Is it still fun as all get out though!? YESSS...Insta buy for me, and I'm glad to own both.Bottom line:If you liked Undaunted:Normandy.... BUY THIS!If you didn't like undaunted... save your moneyIf you haven't tried either. Pick whichever ones them looks cooler to you and try it, they're both fantastic.

War + Deck Building
War should not work as a Deck Builder, you say. I say, Deck Building absolutely works, in this War game.

Great game.
I'm a miniature wargamer. I'm also a big WW2 history enthusiast. I love this game. However, it has little to do with those first 2 points. My whole family are gaming enthusiasts. Throwing a board game on the table is our go to activity on holidays and get togethers. My wife is not a wargaming enthusiast. She enjoys the occasional Twilight Struggle and might even be persuaded to play Risk once every few years, but that's the extent of her interest in the area. She LOVES this game. It's that good. WW2 is the setting, but it's not a war game. It's just a great, fun, game. The setting is WW2 but that has little to do with the game. It could really be reskinned as anything and be just as fun. This would be a great gateway game to introduce a friend to wargaming. It's a great quick play game at the club between games or waiting for others to set up their army, make their list, etc. It's one of my better finds for this year of COVID. I heard about it on LIttle Wars TV Youtube review and bought it. Great game.

WOW!
Board gamer here. As a sequel to the wonderful, `Undaunted: Normandy` this game adds a new layer and a few revisions that make it feel more like you're commanding a squad. Very impressive, fun, and simple combat system with great, well-balanced scenarios. You can also always make your own. I would love to see some additional squads release as expansions to add more variety. That would be stellar.

Love it!
I just love the Undaunted series, the mechanic is easy to learn, pretty straight forward, but that doesn't mean that the game can't be complex and dinamic. It really achieve the immersion into the tactical thought and the cost of decisions in this type of war games.
