full piston pressure kit for the La Pavoni Europiccola Pre-Millennium and Millenium machines

Having a Brew pressure gauge is a real nice feature. This one is very well made and easy to install. I would suggest that you watch a couple videos available on the net on how to install this product and/or how to rebuild the brew head on a La Pavoni lever machine.One caution... the threads on the pressure gauge it self are fine and easy to cross thread if you have a generous layer of teflon tape applied. Just make sure you line it up nice and straight.

Easy to install. The improved lever parts really improve the machine feel as well. Beautiful fit and finish!

The workmanship on this kit is old school cool. Very well machined and it's obvious they put pride and craftsmanship in to it. They also set up the newb like me with a piston ring compression tool, food grade grease and thread seal tape. 10 out of 10, but there's always room for improvement. The threads are razor sharp and cut in to my thumb. Not a big deal, but such is conducive to cutting through tefllon tape as well. I'd recommend knocking the burrs off the threads. Also, the hollow pipe that threads in to the piston has no flats on it, so it's counter intuitive as to how to properly tighten the assembly. My install leaked repeatedly until I figured out I was not torqueing things down well enough. On the forth time I put some wood blocks in my bench vise, used that to tightly clamp the piston, then grabbed the hollow tube that threads in to it with a very aggressive tool (vise grips), in an area where marring the shaft would not subsequently damage seals, and torqued every thing down to the point of stretching threads and severely packing the teflon tape to where it's not going anywhere. Since? No leaks at any pressure, no matter where in the travel stroke. Have been very happy with this purchase since. As said, always room for improvement and I'm sure my techniques are no exception. The La Pavone is a world class espresso machine that will last decaodes, and be easy to maintain. This bit of kit takes some of the learning curve out of how to use it and was money well spent.
