I developed slight heat damage so I went on YouTube and came across a review on this product, and I'm glad I tired it!A little goes a long way with this 3oz bottle if you're using it to deep conditioner with. If your hair is flat out damaged and strangling then you should go with using about half the bottle if not more for a strong protein treatment.The directions give you two options:> how to apply as a deep conditioner> how to apply it as a stronger protein treatmentI used it as a deep conditioner just because my hair isn't too badly damaged.Pros:> It made my hair super soft as I applied it> 1 tbsp of the protein + 1 cup of conditioner or deep conditioner (I did half and half trying to save out on my deep conditioner).> it stretches your deep conditioner so you may not have to use all that was instructed to use. I still have a bit of the mixture left over.> I was able to deep condition my hair for 45-60 minutes without a dryer, just a plastic bag on my head and my hair felt as soft as it does when I deep condition under the dryer for 45 minutes.> easy to rinse out> my ends were brought back to life! My hair had that snap back effect, when you pull it and let go and my curls on the ends looked healthy and alive. With another treatment I'll definitely be back in business!CONDon't apply this to your scalp ( like the directions say) kind of gave me a warm tingling sensation on my neck, but I wiped it off and I was okay.- it almost felt like a keratin treatment I have in a bottle. That too isn't suppose to touch your skin. The directions give you a warning, so listen!Overall I love this product and I'll continue to use it! It's better than aphogee 2 minute protein treatment! This really penetrates in to your hair shaft! I love it!This product is great for damaged and dry hair!

I have 4a/b high porosity hair, breakage was a significant problem for me. I switched to this from the Aphogee 2-min after reading the difference between a hydrolyzed and non hydrolyzed protein thinking I'd have greater benefit.It's been a year since I bought this and I still have a quarter bottle left, I keep it in the fridge and mix proportions as the instructions advise to. I keep the mixed batches in the fridge also, and do protein treatments biweekly.I don't know if it's more effective than Aphogee, because I changed my hair care regimen when I switched to this also. So it could be just this product or the other changes also. But it definitely does what protein is supposed to do. My texture is always fully restored after treatment, and my coils remain if I don't heavily manipulate, and moisturize properly, right through to the next treatment.For less than 30 bucks this is a great buy. There's no fragrance and the consistency is thin, almost watery. Definitely deep condition after the treatment. I've been lazy once or twice and didn't, my hair felt like dry brush and it was very hard to re-moisturize with any method other than deep conditioning.

This product does what it says. Please note you really need to know YOUR hair before applying this product. Meaning you need to know your porosity level and your texture is THIS IS extremely important. Because you do not use the entire bottle in one treatment and some may need to use this product more than 1 time a month. The directions are on the back with exact measurements, but you may have to adjust based on how much conditioner you may use during a treatment. With this product MEASURING is also VERY IMPORTANT for the outcome of your hair. Now, with saying this my results were amazing. I am post 9 days using it and I am still reaping the benefits of it. Immediately my hair stopped shedding (my hair was shedding way more than the daily shed, crisis mode), it felt strong, and had pull again without breakage. My true curls from root to tip have finally began to show up and after use when I rinsed the detangle was pretty non existent. The first time I tried this product, I unknowingly mixed it incorrectly and felt that it didn't work for me and felt I had wasted my money. I was talking to someone that swore by the product and suggested that I go back and try again. This time I decided to put on my reading glasses to look at the directions on the bottle (duh) and mixed it again with the correct measurements (thought I did the first time). I applied it to my hair and viola! My breakage was basically stopped in it's tracks!I have low porosity hair and I have a very hard time getting and keeping it moisturized. After a bit of research, I switched up a few products and followed the advice from an online blogger. She suggested that I add a little pure protein to my daily moisturizer (I have a spritzer bottle of water KCKT and a few drops of this protein), as it will help keep my hair moisturized. I did, and that along with a new set of products did the trick. My hair is nice, soft and no longer dry!I love this product and will always have it in my hair regimen.

After the first use, I noticed a drastic increase in my hair's softness and manageability. I haven't had results like this with any other protein treatment. I additionally appreciated the 2-1 protien treatment/ conditioning step; it was a wash day time saver. I was pleasantly shocked by results. We'll see how it holds up with prolonged use. But based on my initial results, I recommend this products.
