Keurig, 14 Pound K145 OfficePRO Brewing System

I ordered this machine from Amazon by mistake… $418 plus change is a ridiculous price for it. In addition I did not see that it was non-returnable. A total screwup. Every time I look at it I hate myself.The machine works as advertised and yes it is at least twice as loud as the other at home Keurig brewers. There is only one of me so it’s not that big a deal.I still hate myself and Keurig and Amazon every time I look at the brewer. I am 75 years old and undoubtably the stupid machine will outlive me.

As far as it being a necessity to my living, it has proved itself, and done so without a hiccup or glitch. The Keurig K-Cups are the way to go, allowing me to sample different brands and varieties. Sooner or later, I probably will get a dedicated coffee-espresso maker, but until then, this is THE go-to java machine, hands down... This is my 5th Keurig and by far the noisiest. Keurig needs to find a way of dampening the powerful motor or upgrade the plastic / metal on the body. This thing is so loud when operating, it becomes disruptive to meetings being held in the next room. I had to find ways to dampen the rattling noise with foam tape. Also, this is suppose to be a commercial brewer that can handle 10+ people; so why the 48 oz reservoir? We are constantly filling this thing up for only 5 people (and more so with guests). If it wasn't such a hassle to return things, I would. Since it does brew a decent cup of hot coffee, I will try not to throw it out; for now.I was wondering how a commercial brewer could be sold cheaper than the Keurig 2.0 that I use at home (which is 10x better); now I know.Pros: Strong motor, hot coffee, easy to use, taste good, and doesn't require a direct water line.Cons: Very loud, cheap plastic, small water reservoir, and no filter (sold separately).I would not recommend this product for commercial use.

Purchased to replace a old commercial Keurig used for many many years. This one works great. It is a little noisy as some have suggested, but that noise isn't too loud and doesn't last very long at all. It heats up much quicker than the old unit ever did. If I had any complaint it would be the size of the water container. The old ones held a lot of water, these newer ones not so much. But filling these are much handier than the older ones were as well.Only time will tell if we get the same service out of like we did with the last one.

Our church bought one of these for our ministry center which have used quite a bit so we decided to get one for our home. The coffee comes out tasting perfectly and is the right temperature. We wanted the commercial version for maximum durability. It is a little noisy, but if you put your hand on the unit while the pump is running it is a little quieter. I may eventually purchase a padded mat to set the coffee maker on to see if it will run more quietly, but the pump really doesn't run that long and isn't that much of a bother. I understand that some of the newer models have a 12-ounce brew option, but we just run the 6-ounce cycle twice for our 12-ounce cups which works just fine. We have chosen to use distilled water to eliminate scale build-up. Although there is some controversy about whether drinking distilled water is healthy because it lacks minerals, I figure that we drink enough bottled spring water and other things throughout the day to make up for it. This unit replaced our inexpensive Hamilton-Beach coffee maker which had to be filled up with water for every cup. The Keurig is much more convenient with it's large reservoir and we are very happy with it. The sample K-Cups that came in the box were a nice bonus.
