Leak-B-Gone 45040 Plumbing PVC Pipe Leak Repair Rings 3" - Pack of 10

Added a waste line to the 3 inch main. Had a small leak at the joint. Installed in May of 22. Just checked Sept of 22 and still holding. It was tough to snap the ring, but manage to do it. Now I have 9 left over!!!

I used this product to seal a few 3.5" PVC vent pipe unions that were leaking condensation occasionally. One problem I had was when I put them over the pipe and tried to connect the ends, I couldn't. When I did manage to connect one of them, it was so snug that I could not slide it which is required for installation. I had to use a dremel sanding drum to sand the inside of the Leak Be Gone ring until it would close AND slide. Once that was done, I was able to follow the instructions for gluing it to the joint. I have not seen a sign of leaking since.

Item works as described, saved major hassle of cutting and repairing 4" pipe joint. Only wished item was sold individually, or at least in a 3-pack.

Expensive but worked

Tried to fix a joint leak on a 3" pipe. This was slightly too large to be useful in my case. I cut one and tried to make it work. but it was futile because it did not close properly.

Stopped leak in a difficult, old installation. Saved lots of time and money. Easy install. Only complaint, why make me buy 10 rings? Do people go around fixing leaks on 3" PVC all the time. How about a two pack? Left the other 9 unused rings with my local helpful hardware person.

I needed to repair a 3” sewage line for a bathroom remodel. Without using this product, the alternative meant hours of work to cut back and re-pipe the line and fittings. This product work perfectly. As others have said, you do need to ensure the area is free of glue, I spent about five minutes sanding the area with some 150 grit paper. The ring does require some force to close but it will clamp around the pipe.

These rings are amazingly simple but soooooo effective. I had 2 small leaks on my 3 inch PVC exhaust vent on my high efficiency furnace. I cleaned the pipe, snapped the ring on added the PVC cement and both my leaks stopped instantly. Fantastic product that I would recommend to anyone!
